I would give 4.5 stars for the overall great experience. The lobby is cozy and comfortable, and the staff there were friendly and helpful. I paid for random room type, so the price was excellent value for money. I feel like the room size is bigger than other hotels in this area, but the carpet was a bit dirty. The location is good as it is right next to the tourist area for foods and shopping.
During the stay, someone vomited on the hallway and the elevator, but the staff reacted fast and apologised to the guests.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Excellent service and awesome hotel room. My regular place to stay when I am in Seoul. I would like to mention a special commendation to your service Staff Mr LimGiSun for his assistance to my child who lost her mobile phone, he took extra effort and went extra miles to bring us to the restaurant to find the mobile phone and to the police station to lodge a police report and finally we managed to recover back the lost iPhone. We are grateful for his assistance and he is an asset to your esteemed organisation. Thank you very much.

Pretty upscale hotel for the stars. The rooms are reasonably sized, not large, not too small, and has ample outlets and USB plugs for your charging needs. The bathroom is pretty high tech with the electronic toilet with multiple options. The lobby has some sort of elegance to itself with the revolving door leading to a well laid out classy setting. The HVAC system is centralized despite having thermostat units on the rooms which you can only control by leaving the window open or shutting it off when it's too warm. Despite being here during the cold winter, the room is scalding hot because you can't totally shut off the heat. The Location is great, and a short walk from the airport limo bus dropoff. This is a first day review. Got 5 nights left on our stay.

I have been a loyal patron of Royal Hotel Seoul for quite some time, and while I have had mostly positive experiences in the past, my recent stay left me somewhat disappointed.
One of the major downsides was the centralized control of the air conditioner in the room. Unfortunately, during my stay in the summer, I found it impossible to adjust the temperature to my comfort. This made the room quite uncomfortable at times, and it was difficult to escape the heat.
Another issue I encountered during my stay was a hygiene problem. The room seemed to have a mosquito infestation, which was quite bothersome. Despite the hotel's generally high standards, this was a major letdown and affected my overall impression of the place.
On a more positive note, the hotel's restaurant, located on the top floor, offered a stunning view of the city. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were attentive and friendly, providing excellent service. It was a nice touch that helped improve my dining experience.
I hope the management addresses the issues with the air conditioning and hygiene to ensure a more comfortable stay for guests in the future.

Excellent location and staff are very welcoming, BUT I will give a lower rating due to the policy of unified AC temperature, which is really annoying for a 4 stars hotel.
During my stay, they fixed the temperature at 25,5 degrees, which felt hotter than that, and when complained, they told me other guests are feeling cold and offered me to use an additional fan !!!
