Visiting Korea for the first time was an exhilarating adventure, made even more memorable by my stay at Astro Hotel in Yongin-si. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and a genuine eagerness to assist from the hotel staff. This stay was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to share my experience. One of the standout features of Astro Hotel was the remarkable effort the staff put into ensuring that language barriers didn't hinder communication. They went above and beyond, using translation apps like Papago or English, whenever they could understand. This made me feel valued and cared for as a guest in a foreign land, where language can often pose a challenge. What truly touched my heart was the kindness of the cleaning staff. The housekeeper had an incredible spirit, going so far as to offer to launder my clothes upon request, even though it wasn't expected. This extra touch of hospitality added a personal touch to my stay that I will always remember. Food also played a role in making my experience at Astro Hotel exceptional. The staff recognized the language barrier I faced while trying to order food through apps and took it upon themselves to place orders for me. This thoughtful gesture ensured that I could savor delicious Korean cuisine without any hassle. The rooms at Astro Hotel were not only clean and well-maintained but also equipped with all the essential amenities one could ask for. However, if I were to suggest an improvement, it would be the replacement of the TVs with newer smart models. Connecting through laptops to watch content, like Netflix, felt a bit cumbersome when more modern options are available. The hotel's location proved to be a strategic advantage. The proximity to convenient public transportation options to Seoul made exploring the city a breeze. Additionally, the presence of a 7-Eleven store right next to the hotel was a pleasant surprise. We found ourselves frequenting the store quite often, as it provided us with added convenience. As my stay at Astro Hotel came to an end, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the exceptional care I received. The staff truly went the extra mile to ensure my comfort and happiness throughout my stay. I left with a promise to myself that I would return next year to relive this wonderful experience. In conclusion, Astro Hotel in Yongin-si is more than just a place to stay; it's a haven of hospitality and warmth. For anyone looking to experience Korea for the first time or even as a seasoned traveler, this hotel's exceptional service, thoughtful staff, and convenient location make it an excellent choice. For its current cost, I was very surprised with how good this hotel was. It's clean, location is good, friendly staffs and spacious room & bathroom. I genuinely enjoyed my stay here :)

I enjoyed my stay. I live in the city and for years I wanted to see what the Astro was like. I thought it was beautiful and clean. There was no free breakfast due to covid-19 (bummer) I would have loved to try the food. The staff was there 24/7 and always smiled. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves.

Room: standard room. First impression: shocked with all the mirrors. Even two doors that function like curtains are mirror doors. I didn’t shut or close the curtain doors. The Room size was big,33m2, but the layout is odd so look small and no space to walk around. No luggage table, no clothes cabinet. One International Multi plug was handy to use and also multi cable to charge devices. Toilet and vanity aren’t immediately close together. Toilet is located to a space where to make tea, electric hot pot and refrigerator. Its a bit confusing before realizing it’s a door way to toilet as it’s a mirror door. There is a partition between bed, TV lounge and shower, bath and vanity. Beside bath there were mentioned mirror doors to close the windows. But there is no space walk around the bath. Shower had two taps: one is flexible but only horizontally sprayed water. There were two holding place, one was too short for my height one was too tall for my height. Rain shower didn’t work as the handle was not locked for that rain shower. Many parts of wells and partition were silver colored flamed mirrors so all the dust was visibly. Bed was comfortable as I like hard bed. Bedding were clean. Good pillows. Only one locking system for the main entrance door but there is second door with pin pressed handle lock. The floor can be very slippery. I found pity that there was a beautiful view early morning with sunrise but the windows is behind the partition and tv lounge and bed facing opposite direction. Breakfast was for free I haven’t had any except the last day. There was milk and soy milk, sweet or non sweet soy milk to choose. Simple but adequate. 24 hours reception and parking area prompt service was good. Small lobby but functional. Standard room does not have Netflix. Surrounding: convenience store near by. walking distance for shopping mall and big supermarket. Eateries. Train station. Art hall. The walk way is under the frying over road so it can be dark. Overall I enjoyed staying. If you can afford, may upgrade the room. There are other rooms that have different interior design. I may do later. Compare price, accommodation booking website may offer cheaper options than direct booking.

The staff at this hotel are really nice and helpful, but the hotel itself is sort of odd. The hotel looks very fancy and my first impressions of my room were great. Very cool, very nice room, it looked very upscale. But when I went to go to bed I found that there was mascara and hair on a couple of the pillows, and since the cases and sheets are white I could see through them and saw that there was a blood stain on one if the pillows itself and there was a long dark hair trapped under the white bed sheet. All in all it looked like they only changed out half of my sheets. I did ask that the pillows be changed and someone came and changed out the dirty ones. I then thought to examine my room a little more closely and found hair and dirt in some hard to reach places on the floor, but I also found a mascara smear on the bathroom counter and dirt under the same counter which is really easy to get to. Various small other things were found but you get the point. If their management doesn't start paying attention to detail (and basic cleanliness) it could get worse. That being said, it wasn't a dive, most things were neat and tidy. The breakfast was basic, nothing fancy there. I like my fried eggs to be at least warm though, that's my only complaint there. One last thing, I wish the hotel was all one theme. Some floors are really beautiful, but I got the vampire dungeon, black halls floor with creepy red painting.
