Busan Shinsegae Spa Land: Enjoy a five-star jjimjilbang and all-you-can-eat ramen inside the department store

This time I took my daughter to Busan, and besides shopping and sightseeing, the one thing I really wanted to make sure to include was a visit to Spa Land in Centum City at Shinsegae Centum City, a jjimjilbang.
This place, praised as a 'five-star jjimjilbang', is completely different from the traditional jjimjilbangs I used to see in K-dramas. Not only is the space astonishingly large and luxuriously decorated, the best part is the super convenient access, it's located inside a department store with a direct connection to the subway station. For travelers like us who have been on the go for days and have sore feet, this place is literally an oasis in the desert. Today I want to talk about how we spent a luxurious afternoon at Spa Land, and the must-try self-serve ramyeon experience!
As soon as we stepped into Spa Land's lobby, the open, high-ceilinged space took our breath away. The decor blends modern style with natural wood elements, and large floor-to-ceiling windows let sunlight pour in, giving it a very upscale feel.

Booking tickets through Creatrip was super convenient. I bought an e-ticket in advance, and at the venue I just showed the QR code on my phone to check in, skipping the hassle of talking at the counter and waiting in line to buy tickets. After entering, staff gave me a wristband, which serves as your pass for all on-site purchases, whether you eat, buy drinks, or get a massage, just tap the wristband and pay everything together when you leave. This one-stop digital experience is perfect for a mom like me who doesn’t like carrying change.
After soaking in Spa Land, our bodies were warm and we were getting hungry. We headed straight to the food court on the second floor, all for the highly talked-about self-serve ramyeon station you see online.
For friends who love Korean instant noodles, this place is pure heaven! A whole wall of bright yellow noodle shelves is filled with all kinds of Korean instant noodles, from the classic Shin Ramyun to various types of dry mixed noodles.

After choosing the ramen you want, you can head to the toppings station to pick your own add-ons! They offer a variety of fresh toppings, like tteok (rice cakes), fish cake, chopped green onions, and even slices of cheese, turning a simple instant noodle into a fancy dish. My daughter and I looked over the dazzling array of toppings, excitedly discussing which ones would make the perfect flavor combination.

Next comes the best part — using the automatic noodle cooker to make your own ramyeon. Just put the ramen into the special foil bowl, add the toppings and seasoning packet, place it on the machine and press a button, and the machine will automatically dispense water and start timing the heating.

Watching the steaming instant noodles churn in the bowl, the aroma hits you, and that anticipation is honestly more joyful than eating out at a restaurant. We made a bowl of rich broth ramen loaded with tteok and vegetables, and savoring it indoors while warm was pure bliss.

If you want something refreshing to drink, there’s also a vending machine nearby offering chilled coffee, soda, or Korea’s traditional sweet rice drink (sikhye).

After you’ve eaten and drunk your fill, it’s time for the jjimjilbang experience. Spa Land has dozens of different themed saunas at various temperatures, from low-temperature salt brick rooms to high-temperature kiln rooms.
I especially loved the jjimjilbang lined with Himalayan salt bricks, the temperature was just right, and the gentle warmth slowly penetrated my pores, completely releasing the fatigue from days of walking. My daughter was especially fond of the low-temperature lounge area with its stylish design. We both changed into the comfortable spa robes provided by the hotel, relaxed on the soft sofas and chatted, enjoying a rare mother-daughter moment.
It's worth mentioning that Spa Land is very clean and hygienic. Even when it's crowded, the floors and lounge areas stay spotless, with no bad odors. The bathing area is also very luxurious, offering various kinds of hot baths, cold pools, and even outdoor open-air baths, so you can feel like you're soaking in nature while inside a bustling department store.
Our four hours at Spa Land not only washed away the stress of travel, but also gave us fun ramyeon memories. This place is more than a jjimjilbang, it feels like a full entertainment space.
Booking through Creatrip not only costs less than buying on site (especially when there’s a discount), it also keeps your ticket info in the mobile app so you don’t have to worry about losing paper tickets. For travelers on a tight schedule, that convenience is truly unbeatable.
If you’re planning a trip to Busan, be sure to set aside an afternoon for Spa Land in Centum City. Whether it’s relaxation for adults or a playful experience for kids, this place has it all. Soak in the baths, enjoy some self-serve ramyeon, then hit the department store for shopping, that’s the perfect Busan vacation rhythm!
