This trip to Seoul, one of the most surprising and unforgettable memories turned out to be a haircut experience at 弘大eof. I originally just wanted a simple trim, but it became a delightful time I keep reminiscing about.
Hongdae has always given the impression of being young, free, and full of creativity, with many uniquely styled little shops tucked away in the alleys. The thing that moved me most was that the stylist didn’t blindly chase trends; instead they gave professional suggestions based on my face shape and demeanor, making the overall look appear natural and easy to manage. After the cut, they patiently taught me how to style my hair at home so that even without special styling, the shape stays flattering. When I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t help but smile — it was the kind of confidence that radiates from the inside after being truly well cared for.
Walking out of eof Hair Salon, the streets of Hongdae were still lively, but my mood felt especially light. This was not just a process of changing a hairstyle, but more like a brief yet warm exchange. Encountering such attentive service while traveling lets you feel the delicacy and sincerity of Korean artisans, and adds a soft memory to the whole trip.
If I come to Seoul again, I think I'll still return to Hongdae eof and get my hair cut there once more, to rediscover that special everyday joy that belongs to the journey.
