Wow, lately I keep seeing color analysis posts and ads all over social media, and I just get more and more curious! It seems like Koreans have that natural yet polished look, and there’s actually a method behind it 😆
And the more curious I became about my color analysis, the more often related content popped up in front of me 🤭, so this time I came to Korea, and of course I had to schedule a color analysis during my trip to really experience it 🤩
As a J-person, I always have to do my homework first, otherwise I really feel off 😅
But since I'm usually busy with work, it actually takes a lot of time to find a shop that fits my needs on my own 😔 Luckily there's Creatrip, a platform that lets you quickly filter shops during spare moments, so you can see style, reviews, and location all at once, it really saves a lot of time!
Of course my top pick is a place I can walk to from the hotel 🤭, it feels like pretending to be a local heading out from home to get a makeover, like playing grown-up house 😆
The shop I chose this time is
'Hongdae Colorga Sanda', I booked the 'one-on-one personal color analysis', the whole experience lasts about 45 minutes.

As soon as I walked in I felt the space was very spacious, with a minimalist, comfortable style, and each person has a private consultation area, so privacy is great and it's easier to focus on the analysis.
This time I specifically booked a Chinese-speaking consultant, so there were no language issues at all, and I could ask questions and discuss things with confidence, which is a big plus for first-timers ♥️
Before starting, the teacher will first ask our opinion about our personal color, then test using different color drapes, so we can clearly see which color families of clothing make our complexion look better and our advantages more noticeable; unsuitable colors will also be demonstrated, so we can avoid those pitfalls when dressing later.

At the same time, the instructor will also analyze the makeup colors and looks that suit you, and if you already use any makeup products you can bring them for the instructor to check. I also asked the instructor that day to recommend brands and shades that fit my preferred look, and they even analyzed hair color and eyeglasses styles, the whole process felt very professional and attentive.

After the test I realized 😅 that many of the clothes and even the cosmetics I used to wear often weren’t actually the best colors for me.
After the session I rushed straight to go shopping, bought clothes and cosmetics, and even got a pair of eyeglasses😆
If you plan to shop in Korea, I highly recommend getting a color analysis first! That way when you buy things, you’ll double the value of your purchases, not only getting good deals and flattering fits, but also highlighting your best features 👍🏼
Oh, and at the end of the consultation the teacher will email us a small file, so we won’t forget the results of the diagnosis ☺️
Also, booking with Creatrip is super convenient, you can arrange your schedule before you travel and feel more at ease during the trip. Payments aren’t counted as overseas transactions, so you save 1.5% in fees, and on top of that, VIP member benefits like discounts and coupons mean you can use the money you saved to buy other stuff 🤭
