How to Spend an Afternoon in Yeonnam-dong

The weather is getting warmer and the cherry blossoms have bloomed in Seoul! And what better way than to spend the day out in Yeonnamdong.
This neighborhood is right next to Hongdae, and is full of trendy cafes and restaurants, as well as small boutiques and novelty stores. I personally prefer this area more since it's much calmer than the busy Hongdae shopping streets and it’s more up my alley as I love eating and walking around leisurely.
Here is my itinerary for pleasant afternoon in Yeonnamdong!
1. Brunch at Camellia

I first started off with brunch at Camellia.
This is a cute home remodeled brunch restaurant located in one of the side alleyways of Yeonnamdong. I would recommend booking a reservation beforehand on Naver so you can get a nice table, as my friend and I who just did a walk in were seated in a shadier area of the restaurant. There is also outdoor seating but those were taken up when we arrived.

The brunch menu is majorly European/Western, offering items like French Toast, Eggs Benedict, as well as pastas and risottos. My friend and I decided we'd order the English Breakfast and the Basil Cream Risotto.

My favorite was the Basil Cream Pasta :)
2. Cherry Blossom Walk

Then one street over, enjoy a cherry blossom walk! There are also cafes lining the streets with open terraces and seating if you'd prefer to appreciate them sitting down.

4. Sweet Treat at Yuki Mochi

Suddenly my friend and I were craving something sweet so as we passed by Yuki Mochi Yeonnam Branch, we decided that we'd try it. They sell ice cream mochi in a variety of flavors and their Signature ones are Salted Caramel Popcorn and Raspberry Crumble. Currently they're giving away a free chocolate cherry blossom topping with the mochi , making it look so cute and fitting for season!

5. Visit a Stationary Store!

And of course, you cannot leave Yeonnamdong without visiting a stationary store! My favorite one is MadeBy. They have a huge selection of stickers and other goods and every month they have have a collaboration and showcase an artist! This month was a cat illustrator and they have a variety of their notebooks, stickers, and keychain to purchase which were so cute.
Bonus: Walk through Gyeongui Book Line Street for more cherry blossoms 🌸
