Use coupons to get discounts at duty-free shops and Japanese restaurants around Myeong-dong♪

On this day, the weather was nice and perfect for a trip, but because we were out late the night before, we decided to go out in the afternoon 🐾
Seoul is also getting warmer, making it the perfect season for traveling 😊 (Although there is still a big difference in temperature between day and night, so be careful not to catch a cold 💦)
First, the first place I headed to was Shinsegae Duty Free Shop! The duty-free shop is located in the new building, but the neighboring Shinsegae Department Store Main Building is the first department store ever built in Korea🙂(Originally, during the period when Japan ruled, there was a Mitsukoshi Department Store here.)
This area is often used as a filming location for dramas, right? 😊 Like 'Goblin' and 'The Legend of the Blue Sea'...
You can also see the Nanshan Tower well, and it's one of my favorite places because the illumination is beautiful in winter.♪

And New World Duty Free Shop is also a must-visit spot every time I travel to Korea👍
However, I usually only go to duty-free shops, but on this day, I decided to have a slightly late lunch at the food court on the basement floor😋

There were many restaurants lined up and I was wondering where to eat, but I decided to go to a restaurant called 'Hanatei by Kakushita' located right near the elevator landing🙂
Lunchtime had already passed, so there were few customers in any store, and I was able to relax♪

Here, it seems like a store that has been introduced on a Korean TV show, as there was footage of the broadcast playing on a monitor near the cash register 😊
The representative menu seems to be chicken cutlet, but since it hadn't been long since I woke up, I chose kitsune udon 😅
Only available at the counter seats, after ordering at the register you will be given a vibrating bell. When the bell rings, you will receive your items at the side of the register.

Ordered Kitsune Udon, Karaage Tamago Don, and Karaage A La Carte x2, it came out to exactly 30,000 won (about 3,300 yen).
The warm dashi soaked into my body😋 Choosing udon was the right decision. LOL.
During my trip to South Korea, I definitely wanted to eat Korean food as much as possible, but I also thought that it would be okay to try Japanese food occasionally eaten in Korea 🤭
After eating, please take your plate to the return counter.

With a full stomach, it's time to start moving right away!
Ride the elevator and move to the Shinsekai Duty Free Shop, where we always appreciate your business!
Of course, it is mandatory to obtain coupons on the creatrip site in advance 👍 Also, there may be similar coupons on other sites, so be sure to check those as well 👍
First, head to the customer center and after receiving everything, start shopping ✨
I often use the shop on the 12th floor, which is located in the same place as the cosmetics department and customer center on the 10th floor 😊 I usually decide what to buy before going, but always end up getting lost in what to buy 😅 Each store has its own sale depending on when you go, so I end up getting distracted 😂

This time at the Kakao Friends Shop, I found some Korean-style goods ✨
It seemed like a new product, so I bought it♪ The price is affordable, so it's good for souvenirs or for personal use, right? 😊
Among the Kakao Friends characters, I like Ryan the most, but there were many Chunshik products in the store...
Also, it seems that a minimum purchase of $10 is required at the Kakao Friends Shop 😶

Shopping can quickly make time fly by, right? 💦
After finishing shopping somehow, I had a drink at the New World Members Bar on the 4th floor ♪
Actually, if you have a Korea Tour Card for foreign tourists, when you complete the membership registration at Shinsegae Department Store, you will receive 2 free drink tickets✨
Other than coffee, there are also juices and teas available, which is a nice service. 😊 This time, I chose a cafe latte and orange juice.♪
You can check various benefits on the Korea Tour Card website, so if you have one, it's a good idea to make sure to check here before your trip😉
By the way, the duty-free shop benefits of the Korea Tour Card and the coupons on the creatrip site were almost the same.

On this day, we ended up spending a few hours at the New World Duty-Free Store (Department Store) 💦
Right next to there is also Namdaemun Market, but we didn't have time this time so we gave up going there and moved to the next destination, Lotte Duty Free Shop 🐾
From Shinsegae Duty Free Shop, head towards Lotte Duty Free Shop and you will soon see the Bank of Korea.
This building was built during the time when Japan ruled Korea, so it is very well constructed. It is now the 'Currency Museum' and is also a recommended spot. You can see many different types of money and there is a machine where you can check if your 10,000 won bill is counterfeit. There shouldn't be any counterfeit bills, but it always makes me nervous when checking with the machine. Haha.

By the way, the museum is closed on Mondays and the opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:00. It is a recommended tourist spot for both children and adults 😊
You will arrive at Lotte Duty Free Store in about 10 minutes on foot from Shilla Duty Free Shop 🐾
Don't forget to stop by the gift desk at Lotte Duty Free Shop before shopping to get discount coupons👍Creatrip site, of course, Lotte Duty Free Shop's app also has a lot of special offers😉
At any duty-free shop, coupons are now registered on your passport, but Lotte Duty Free Shop provides a list of receipts with barcodes so you can see which coupons are registered. It's helpful 😊 Thanks to that, I don't forget to use coupons anymore ✨

Duty-free shops may hand over the purchased items on the spot, depending on the product, but it is also possible to have them delivered to the airport. I always try to have items purchased at offline stores delivered to the airport as much as possible, as I also make purchases at online duty-free shops 😊 It's difficult to have luggage increase during sightseeing as well... 😵
As we started our activities in the afternoon, by the time we finished shopping at two duty-free shops, it was already night💦
There are food stalls lining the streets of Myeongdong, and as usual, there are plenty of tourists! Myeongdong really has a great atmosphere at night, right? ✨ It may not be suitable for those who dislike crowds though...
I was too tired from focusing on shopping and didn't feel like moving, so I decided to have dinner at a restaurant on a quiet street nearby with as few people passing by as possible 😅

So the restaurant I chose is 'Shounai Seimen (Akinaijemen)' 🤭 Udon for dinner following lunch 😂 Well, there are days like this. lol.
This used to be Marugame Seimen in Japan~😁 By the time the pandemic settled down and we were able to travel to Korea again, it had already changed to Samnae Seimen😶
Every time I come to Myeongdong, I've been curious, so I thought it was a good chance and immediately entered♪
Upon entering, despite it being after 8 PM, the restaurant was almost full.😯 It took about 10 minutes for the noodles to cook, so we were given a number tag and had to wait for our table.
While waiting to be called, I looked at the pop-ups in the store and added this store as a friend on KakaoTalk, so I got a free drink 🤭 Thanks to the waiting time, I was able to enjoy a good deal feeling♪

The store is mostly filled with foreign tourists, and there were also Japanese groups other than us 🤭
Choose your udon, tempura is optional, and pay at the end. Then, add green onions, tempura flakes, and soup in the space next to you. The process is the same as Marugame Seimen, right?🙂

Curry udon, Bibim udon, and a few tempura items cost 25,000w (approximately 2,750 yen).
Marugame Seimen is still different, but the udon here was also delicious 😋 The tempura wasn't freshly fried so it was a bit... 😅
But, if this price in Myeongdong is not bad! I would like to go again if I have the chance.♪

The range of movement on this day was only around Myeongdong, but I was able to enjoy traveling affordably using various coupons 😊
