On this trip to Seoul, one of the things I was most excited about was getting those amazing Korean ID photos taken! I’m sure a lot of Taiwanese travelers coming to Korea also want to update their passport or ID photo while they’re here. 1. Location and check-in
The Jongno Branch is really easy to find, it’s a quick walk from the Seoul subway exit. After you enter, just show the staff your Creatrip booking voucher (on your phone is fine). The staff are very friendly, and after confirming your reservation details, they’ll guide you to the waiting area and the makeup and hair area.
2. Professional Korean-style makeup and hair experience
This was the most impressive part for me! The makeup artist first asks what you’re taking the photos for (for example, a passport photo, a resume photo, or a personal branding portrait), then adjusts the look based on your face shape and style. The makeup artist is incredibly detail-oriented, the base makeup looks glowy and natural, and the eye makeup and brows are shaped perfectly. Then the hairstylist blow-dries and styles your hair so it looks voluminous and fresh, it genuinely feels like that polished Korean celebrity vibe you see on TV!
3. Professional photography and guidance
Once you go into the studio to shoot, the photographer is very patient. Even if you don’t really understand Korean, there’s no need to worry, the photographer uses simple gestures and eye contact to guide things like how much to tilt your head and how big of a smile looks the most natural. They take lots of shots, so you have plenty of options to choose from.
4. One-on-one detailed retouching and same-day pickup
After the shoot, you go straight to one-on-one retouching at the computer! The retoucher’s skills are honestly incredible, they keep your unique features while making your skin look better, improving symmetry, and enhancing your overall complexion in a very natural way, it doesn’t look like you became a different person at all. You can also request changes on the spot, like lightly reducing dark circles or refining your face line a bit.
Once you confirm you’re happy with the photo, they immediately print the physical copies and send the digital file to your email. The efficiency is amazing, you can walk out with gorgeous ID photos the same day!
