Comparing Different Clinics

This was my second clinic I visited in Seoul. The first clinic was much smaller than this so I was a little apprehensive at first, but I thought it is good to try more than one type of clinic to compare experiences
The first clinic was Blossom Beauty, which I’ve written about before. It was small and the doctor’s room is separate and private.
The second clinic was Abijou Myeongdong which is much bigger with lots more people and very busy.
You walk down one floor. Almost like it’s a dungeon, looking quite dark, but also luxurious - like a beauty cave! It was quite busy with lots of workers and clients walking around. But the atmosphere was pleasant. You even get a robot-made machine coffee while you wait!

The consultant spoke in English and we didn’t need an interpreter. I found this a better than my experience at Blossom Beauty where the consultant was Korean and and interpreter assisted. This felt a bit sometimes like we weren’t understanding each other and always hoping the interpreter explained properly! So I liked this better.
She also gave me free Botox for one area as well as a free facial, and a little goodie bad with samples when I left! That was really cool!
The actual session with the doctor was very different as well. They take you to a cubicle, not a room. He didn’t inspect my face like the other doctor did and didn’t really talk to me. The doctor used two machines at the same time. It went by so quickly. I must admit, this felt a little too rushed! I don’t think the doctor really took his time to assess my face like the previous doctor did. This part made it feel a bit factory-like. It wasn’t significantly cheaper than the previous clinic I visited, but it took less than half the doctor’s time. I guess he used two machines to enable that. I can’t tell whether this would impact the final results at the end of the day, because maybe he’s just more efficient than the other doctor, but it did make the treatment feel a little less personal. I guess the extra 20 shots he gave makes up for it!

We ended it off with a LDM facial (also free) and a face mask. This was a really nice touch.

They also gave me a goodie bag with a cream and some samples. Which was a nice touch as well.

All in all, I’m. It sure this was a true factory style clinic, but definitely more so that Blossom Beauty. I would go back though. I think they provide a good service for a reasonable price and I’m a sucker for freebies!
Update: with the 15% I got back from Creatrip, I’m actually going back to Abijou tomorrow for another treatment!
