I came to Korea for Seoul beauty treatments but decided to go to the coast for a couple of days and stay at the beach.
I didn't research Busan very well prior to going and made a little mistake. I think I was just tired of planning. Every day has required a lot of thinking.
I attended the Busan International Film Festival, hoping to see some interesting movies and maybe even walk past a few movie stars.
I went on a Saturday and a Sunday, watched two movies. After the second movie, the director and cast had a Q&A session afterwards, which was quite cool.
I stayed quite far out - or it was difficult to move around. Uber was only a 15m drive, but taking the bus or train takes an hour. Not sure why. Traffic isn’t terrible. Maybe it’s the layout of the city. I stayed in Songjeong beach, which was a nice area, but seemed a little too far away from the action.
I went for early morning strolls and saw the sunrise, which was pretty cool.
Busan is a beautiful city, but wouldn’t return? I’m not sure. I don’t think I really experienced the city in its glory. Maybe next time, I’ll do more research first.
