Day 1
13:10 Arrive at Incheon Airport T1
*Travel by airport limousine bus
15:30 Arrive at the hotel (Up Flohostel)
Lunch (Neungdong Minari) + shopping at 1600 Seongsu
*The yukhoe bibimbap loaded with minari is the best!
I heard there’s often a line, but when I came on a weekday around 4 pm, I got in right away! Service is quick too, so you can eat and go!

20:00 Shopping around the hotel
*Places I shopped at
Olive Young / Daiso / supermarket
*Up flo hostel has an amazing location, anyway!
From the airport limousine bus (6020) departing from Incheon Airport, it takes about 1.5 hours to Gyodae Station, then it’s about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel! There are lots of shopping spots, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, so you won’t have trouble finding dinner either. Since it’s an unmanned hotel, when it’s check-in time they email you your room number and passcode.

22:00 Late-night snack (Kyochon Chicken)
*Kyochon Chicken lets you buy a size you can finish on your own
When you think of Korean fried chicken, the portions are huge, so I often had to give up on getting it when I was alone, but with Kyochon Chicken you can buy a size that one person can actually finish, which I really appreciate! It came out about 20 minutes after ordering, and I got to enjoy delicious chicken that was piping hot and crispy!

25:00 Sleep
Day 2
6:30 Wake up
8:00 Body scrub (Spa Heum)
*An amazing experience at Spa Heum!
Spa Heum in Gangnam offers a body scrub in a completely private room! Both the front desk staff and the therapists can help you in Japanese, so it feels reassuring. I did the 85-minute course, and the treatment was efficient with zero wasted time, leaving me silky smooth from head to toe!! Everything inside is super clean, the location is easy to find, and it’s something I’d absolutely recommend if you go to Korea!

10:30 Lip semi-permanent makeup
I’ve been getting semi-permanent makeup for my brows and lips for a few years now at a privately run salon in Gangnam! The technique of the super cute unni is flawless!
13:00 Leave the hotel
*On the way back too, the airport limousine bus made it an easy ride!
14:30 Arrive at Incheon Airport T2
16:10 Depart from Incheon Airport

This whirlwind 1-night, 2-day solo trip to Korea was hectic, but it was two days with absolutely no wasted time, packed with everything I wanted to do! Spending fun time chatting and laughing with friends is great too, but once in a while, a trip just for yourself, where you pack in only the places you want to go and the things you want to do, is so refreshing and the best!! Once work calms down again, I’m going to fly back to Korea.
