In the most convenient hanok village in Seoul, the best recommendation is Bukchon located at Anguk Station!
From the Euljiro 3-ga station near Myeongdong, it's only two stops to Anguk~
An'guo Station 2nd exit straight ahead to Bukchon Hanok Village,
But because we plan to first visit the Bukchon Cultural Center, we will take exit 3 at Anguk Station.

Kitamura Cultural Center
Bukchon Cultural Center is a traditional Korean-style residential building that has been passed down alongside Seoul's 600-year history,
Also known as traditional Korean hanok architecture.
This place also hosts various historical and traditional cultural experience activities from time to time,
If interested, you can sign up to participate. And a little further past the Kitamura Cultural Center is the Hanok Village.

The most beautiful interlude during the trip
I think it started pouring rain as soon as we stepped out of Anguk Station.
Had to immediately head straight to the North Village Cultural Center to seek shelter from the rain.

So this pavilion became our shelter from the rain~
We relaxed and chilled out here for about half an hour XD
The time to wait for the rain to stop, of course, is to keep taking pictures in Seoul, South Korea.

Kitamura Hakkei
After the rain stops, we will continue to move forward to Bukchon Hanok Village.
Just got a tour map at the Kitamura Cultural Center, which includes a very detailed introduction to the Kitamura Eight Views.
I can only say
If you want to collect all the legendary Eight Views of Kitamura, you really need to have the determination to walk until your legs are exhausted!!
Especially in Korea, there are many stairs, hills, ups and downs that never seem to end,
So remember to bring a comfortable pair of shoes to explore Bukchon.
地圖攤開來,
You can see here isthe Bukchon-dong office near Anguk Station Exit 2
The main road in front is divided into two, with the markings of the Eight Views of Beicun (red circles) on both the left and right sides.

Kitamura Hakkei
Near the Bukchon Cultural Center, close to the Changdeokgung Palace, is the area from Bukchon First Scenic Spot to Third Scenic Spot,
Near Samcheong-dong Street, Jiahe-dong area, it is the four scenic spots to eight scenic spots in Bukchon.

The navigation map also clearly indicates the photos of each attraction

Do not doubt it!
These beautiful hanok houses are currently still inhabited by people.
So when taking a leisurely stroll here, be sure to maintain silence.
Except for being an actual inhabited residence,
Some Hanok houses are now also being converted into cafes, restaurants,
Or traditional teaching classrooms (teaching traditional skills such as sewing, calligraphy, etc.).

As mentioned earlier,
Many of the hanok houses in Bukchon are actually still inhabited by residents,
But due to the increasing number of tourists and noise, the Kitamura community has formed its own patrol team.
Members are roughly the local aunties and uncles,
如圖中這位戴帽子的아주마,她會stand at the intersection holding a quiet fan to remind tourists to be mindful of their volume.

Kitamura Observatory
Just happened to meet Korean kindergarten kids doing outdoor learning,
Feels like they are wearing modified Korean hanbok, super cute.
text editor image
Looking from afar,
You can see the neatly arranged Hanok roofs, and in the distance the bustlingSamcheong-dong street.
Traditional and modern strong contrast, feels very strange.

Near the Kitamura Observatory and the Kitamura Eighth Scenery, there is also a Kitamura Life History Museum.

Samcheong-dong Street
There are many cafes, afternoon tea restaurants, flower shops, and various exquisite boutique shops, etc.
Korean star Lee Young-ae's handmade soap shop is also here!!
In any case, the itinerary of Samcheong-dong Street's tree-lined boulevard is perfect to schedule after a walk in the Bukchon
Come here for a cup of coffee and take a break
