Seoul Seongsu-dong Tournesol (뚜흐느솔) Cafe!

This Tournesol Cafe, I only found out later when I looked it up, is the super trending cafe known for having “staff who are as handsome as an idol group.”
But at first, I was actually walking from Seongsu-dong’s main street to a hands-on workshop experience, and I got drawn in by its pure white exterior, so I made a special stop here on my way back.

Even though photos are prohibited, the staff were extremely polite. Before I decided what to order, they introduced their best-selling lineup and told me about how long the signature drinks would take to prepare.
After confirming my schedule could accommodate the wait, they helped place my order.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the reason this cafe first blew up across major social platforms was because the owner hired all high-visual staff, and it’s also located in the popular Seongsu-dong area, so huge crowds came to check it out.
That said, their food is genuinely high quality, so it gradually went from a one-time pilgrimage spot to a regular meetup hangout for lots of young people.
For example, this “Dubai Chewy cookies” was something I decided I had to try the moment I saw the poster on the door!
How could you possibly skip Dubai pistachio? It’s another dessert that’s gone seriously viral.
Tournesol Cafe’s “Dubai Chewy cookies” has a slightly chewy chocolate coating on the outside, and it takes a bit of extra effort to cut through.
The star inside, the rich “pistachio paste,” paired with the kadayif filling and that chewy chocolate shell, is sweet but not too sweet, and super satisfying to bite into!
Another thing that caught my eye right at the ordering counter was their cookie series. The whole lineup uses different cookie bases paired with floral notes, fruity notes, and even a popcorn version!
I originally chose the “Fall in Rose” flavor to match the drink “Strawberry Rose Latte,” but it was so popular that shortly after I ordered, the staff told me it had sold out. They offered to upgrade me to another one, “Soft girl era,” without any additional charge.
This “Soft girl era” has a lavender fragrance in the cream, paired with a cookie base that leans more crisp. Turns out it also matched perfectly with my “Strawberry Rose Latte,” one set, two floral aromas.
To add a little laid-back vibe to the afternoon, this layered “Strawberry Rose Latte,” with a light rose aroma and sweet strawberry flavor, is absolutely a photo-worthy drink that delivers on both looks and taste.
Speaking of photo spots, you have to mention the window seats. In the daytime, the natural light is amazing, and it’s such a treat to look out at the greenery. Then toward evening and into night, the dim natural light outside pulls you into a totally different mood. With the slightly vintage interior, the window area almost transforms into a bar counter vibe.
But the trees outside help remove that typical bar-like “boozy” atmosphere.
There are also a few window seats on the first floor, because after dark, Tournesol Cafe switches from daytime cafe mode to an evening restaurant and bar mode.
Tournesol Cafe is so thoughtful in creating two different day and night vibes, you really have to admire it.

Tournesol Cafe features a high-ceiling design and has two floors in total!
On the way up to the second floor, you’ll see their exquisite, eye-catching carved crystal chandelier.
🪑 For the tables, they use furniture-style vintage wooden tables and chairs. Even though it’s mostly wood, they put care into using different wood tones and grains.
There are also plenty of paintings on the walls, which makes Tournesol Cafe stand out from the typical all-Korean-style cafes. These European-style artworks add a continental feel to this Seongsu-dong cafe, helping it really pop among the many cafes around!
Even though I didn’t stay until night,
Tournesol’s evening menu and cocktails are said to be pretty well-regarded.
