Hidden Bar in Seongsu

Tucked in an alleyway in Seongsu is a display of shoemaker’s tools. Workbenches, drills, and shoe molds all litter a table. But this is no shoe store, it’s actually Cinderella Seongsu, a hidden speakeasy bar.

As the name “ hidden speakeasy” goes, there is a hidden entrance amongst this shoemaker display. I will not reveal where it is to save you the fun :)
Once you find the hidden door into the speakeasy, you'll feel as if you've been transported to the streets of Europe.
The interior of the cafe features cobblestone-like tiled floors, dim atmospheric lighting, a big window looking onto the street, and concrete walls. A nearby window has ‘YOU CAN BE THE MAIN CHARACTER” written on its glass panes, further encouraging the establishment’s message to become the protagonist of your life.
There are two seating choices, either at a table or the bar. I chose the bar, which faces a wall display of heeled shoes.
As we sat down, we were given a welcome drink.
Besides its name, Cinderella Seongsu also follows its concept true to the fairytale by serving its signature cocktails in 3D-printed shoes. They have a variety of choices in their drink menu non-alcoholic options too) and a Cinderella themed food menu too.
My friend and I decided to start with two cocktails: Rossi and Vivi. Vivi is a peach and rosemary cocktail and Rossi is a grapefruit and apricot slush-type cocktail. They were both sweet and not overpowered by the alcohol at all, my personal favorite was the Rossi.
As for food, we ordered the Caprese Indulgence Before Midnight, a Caprese salad, and the White Meat Steak Encounter on a Quest for the Lost Glass Slipper, which is a white fish steak. Our favorite was the white fish steak, which had a wonderful tender texture and savory flavor.
To finish our meal, we ordered our last two cocktails, the Ferraga and Blahnik. I would recommend Ferraga if you like chocolate and the Blahnik if you prefer a stronger, earthier alcohol taste.
Overall it was a pleasant evening spent where I could enjoy both ambiance and alcohol. This place makes a great spot for dates or a girl's night out!
