How to Picnic in Seoul? 🌸

I believe picnics are very popular in Korea, as people love to sit on a blanket, have yummy snacks and hang out around nature. I’m definitely one of them! I love nature and being outside, I also love snacking. Here, I wanna share my favorite spots in Seoul where my little picnic left the best memories.
1. Seoul Forest
I truly love Seoul Forest and it holds special place in my heart since first trip. There are so, SO many people having picnics there in the tree shadows. The area is wonderful. My favorite spot is the wooden loungers located next to the lake with fountain.
For my picnic, I bought donuts from the Knotted Cafe located nearby, as well as Gongcha drink and some other small treats. I put the blanket on the lounger and was ready to enjoy the sunny weather!
It’s extremely relaxing and serves as perfect break from the city and crowds. There were some people around, but not many. I’ve had a sweet interaction with a Korean boy and his dad, as well as got to observe people walking their dogs in strollers or dressed up in fancy clothing!
2. Yanghwa Hangang Park
This spot is definitely not popular among tourists. I found it randomly watching IVE’s vlog, as they went for a picnic in this area, so I decided to do the same.
There were multiple people (only Koreans though, we were the only tourists) who had the same idea as me - I’m not surprised as the spot was beyond perfect!
CU was located a few steps away, so we bought a bunch of nice snacks and set everything up on a blanket. We were right by the Han River, enjoying it quietly. The lighting was golden, as the sunset was coming up. It was my last day in Korea and I believe this little picnic finished my trip perfectly.
I highly recommend taking a break like this. It allows you to rest from a lot of walking while still enjoying the immaculate vibes of Seoul 🌼🍃
