Since last year, I’d been researching ICL information. After a friend recommended it, I joined the information session at Myeongmok Eye Clinic. I was a little nervous at first, but the more I listened, the more reassured I felt. I also understood the procedure and details much better, so I immediately booked my exam and surgery. From making the reservation to my actual appointment day, if I had any questions I could get an explanation right away through LINE, it was incredibly efficient! They also told me what to watch out for and how to prepare before surgery!

On the day of surgery, I first went through a series of exams, very professional, with repeated checks. Later, because both my anterior and posterior chambers were too small, they originally suggested anterior-chamber ICL. But considering potential aftereffects, I still firmly chose posterior-chamber ICL, which meant the lens had to be specially ordered. So I booked a second surgery date. Even though I had to fly over twice, both experiences were excellent. There was a Chinese interpreter with me the whole time, and they helped calm my nerves too! On the second visit, they also rechecked the basic exams again to make sure my eyes were in the right condition for surgery!

The procedure honestly didn’t hurt, because they applied anesthetic drops beforehand. I think it was more about being nervous mentally. But the doctor was very patient, telling me to look at the light and guiding me through what was happening next, so I could be mentally prepared, it really felt great!
Right after it was done, I didn’t feel much discomfort, but I still needed to stay for observation for an hour, then do another check, and only leave once everything was fine! That night I just kept using the eye drops and rested my eyes, no other discomfort!

Everything was normal at the follow-up the next day too. My eyes were still a bit swollen, but the doctor said that was normal! Before I left, they also gave me lots of artificial tears and an eye shield, so thoughtful!
Now it’s the fifth day after surgery, and I’m back in Taiwan. My follow-up check is all normal, and my vision has gotten much better! No real discomfort! But I still have to be diligent with the eye drops, it helps protect my eyes even more!
Myeongmok Eye Clinic is absolutely worth recommending, it’s truly No. 1!
