My Favorite Samgyeopsal Locations 🥩

I thought I should write about the so well-known samgyeopsal… The pork belly that can be enjoyed with friends or family. It is probably my favorite Korean dish of all time - so, I want to share the places where I enjoyed it the most 🩷
1. Chalssak (Bangbae Main Branch)
This place was located about 20 steps away from my hotel - such luck! The workers were very kind. Me and my friend picked our seats and ordered samgyeopsal. It was served with many banchans (side dishes), and my friend proceeded to prepare it! The aroma had me so impatient to eat. Once it was done, I put the meat on the salad, added my preferred banchans and gave it a taste.
It was the most delicious meat EVER! Seriously, it was so good I had a happy little dance while eating. As for the place it looked modern, everything was served with a lot of care and as I mentioned - the service was flawless.
That’s why I remember it vividly and would happily go back!
2. Seokam Fresh Salt-Grilled Pork (Seongsu)
The second place, which is also the last time I had samgyeopsal before my departure from Korea. I found it in Seongsu. The table I picked had sun shining on it, so I loved it a lot, looked so lovely. What stands out in this restaurant for me is the stone stoves - the aesthetic is unique and I really love it!
We ordered samgyeopsal, but also cold noodles and jjapaghetti noodles - there were plenty of choices in the restaurant, which is amazing. We ordered everything with the screen attached at the table.
I really hated the cold noodles 🤣 But it’s not their fault - I always hated them, I just keep trying in case I change my mind. Apparently, many foreigners hate the taste of cold noodles.
The samgyeopsal however was wonderful. While chewing, the happiness little dance was at it’s finest. The dips, the banchans.. they were seriously so delicious. Definitely the best samgyeopsal I have ever had. And of course, the service was kind.
Since I’m going back to Korea soon, Seokam is the spot that I’m craving to go back to. I can hardly wait any longer until I get to eat this delicious pork belly again! I would recommend it to everyone 🩷
