Seeing K-pop idols in Korea - Friday KBS

Isn’t it true that majority of fangirls traveling to Korea really wants to see their idols up close? I was one of them, and throughout my trips, I learned how to see many idols who are currently promoting their comebacks in Seoul. I will write about that here :)
My most vivid memory is when I got to see LE SSERAFIM very closely, but also Stray Kids, P1Harmony and many others!
So how does it even work? On Friday’s there are broadcasts to which idols arrive early (and also leave on evening) and that’s when fans are able to see them enter or exit the building.
In my LE SSERAFIM case (and all other idols that were there, but I was unfamiliar) were walking up very closely to a spot where they had photos taken, instead of just entering or exiting, that’s why I got to see them very closely for around a minute. In other cases like for Stray Kids, they only would enter or exit briefly.
I was able to find line-ups of idols that will appear on X platform, around one or two days before. If you have specific favorite you’re looking for, just look into their schedule. They will perform on friday’s for around two or three weeks after the comeback.
There are barricades set up, so what I had to do is wake up super early, and arrive around 4AM to secure my spot. Later on I learned that it didn’t need to be so early and 5-6AM was also fine, since idols would only start arriving around 9 or 10AM.
That’s pretty much the secret - once cars start driving up and dropping off idols, everyone will scream so you’ll never miss it out.
After the idols enter, I would go on with my day and come back around 4pm, as that’s when they might start going back out.
The last time I went, I managed to see all Stray Kids, which are my favorite group since long, long years :)
I’ve always been going in summer time, which means it’s a must to bring SPF, possibly UV umbrella, cooling packs/hand fan and water.
There is a CU around 10 seconds walk away, so everyone can get a cold drink or some snack for the long wait.
I highly recommend trying this to see the idols. Of course, it’s for hardcore fans - some people aren’t willing to stand for hours just for a few seconds of their bias in front of them. However, I’m definitely the hardcore type - I’ve seen all my favorites up close and it’s one of the best memories I have from Korea.
