It’s been almost a month since my laser eye surgery 🎉
Wearing glasses has honestly been a problem for so long.
Besides how annoying it is when I sweat, I also can’t stand having any dirt on my eyes.
So I was constantly washing my glasses and rubbing my eyes.
I’d seen so many influencers fly to Korea for laser vision correction, and I was seriously tempted.

The hospital is super easy to get to.

After entering the hospital, there are staff members who speak Chinese.
One of them was even a Taiwanese woman, so friendly.
The whole checkup process also had Chinese interpretation.
No need to feel nervous or worried at all.

The coffee was super strong and delicious.
Because I had pretty severe myopia, plus astigmatism and dry eyes,
after the evaluation the doctor recommended corneal cross-linking and dry eye care.
After the assessment, they let you choose for yourself (because the prices are different).
The optometrists at Myungmo were also very careful and patient.
They let us take our time to discuss what to do.

After the morning checkup, they arranged our surgery in the afternoon.
Before the surgery, the interpreter was worried we’d be nervous,
so they kept telling us what we would experience in a moment,
and what to do, and that they would be right next to us.
It really made us feel at ease.
The laser part was really quick and didn’t hurt.
After the procedure, the doctor checked once first.
Then the director checked again to confirm everything was okay.
The interpreter also repeatedly reminded us about the post-op eye drops.
Right after surgery, your vision feels kind of watery and foggy.
But thankfully the subway station is right at the door.
After confirming the follow-up appointment time the next morning, we could head out.
We left the hospital at around 3.
About 1 to 2 hours later, it got clearer and clearer, but I was a bit sensitive to light.
That evening, we even went hand in hand to shop at the Express Bus Terminal Underground Shopping Center 😂
I could see the price tags on the clothes so clearly 🤣🤣
The next morning at the follow-up, my vision tested at 0.8 in the left eye and 1.0 in the right.
It will gradually recover to 1.0.
After the checkup, we slowly finished our coffee before leaving.
All I can say is, laser vision correction is truly the sooner you do it, the sooner you enjoy it.
It feels so good.
Now when I first wake up in the morning it’s a tiny bit hazy, but after brushing my teeth it becomes clear.
