Trend-led picks at wholesale prices, the NYUNYU shopping experience
Just like a lot of people,
one of my must-visit stores in Seoul
is NYUNYU!
It’s also my “SOS shop” every time I’m out shooting and only realize after arriving that it’s freezing. Somehow, I always find something that works here!
They’re best known as a value-for-money, mass-selection concept store for trendy accessories and fashion add-ons.
They first blew up in Dongdaemun with an entire wall of wholesale earrings, and have since upgraded into a large multi-category street-front store.
The highlight is “wholesale pricing even if you buy just one item (minimum order of 1).”
No wonder it’s a top stop for serious haul shopping.
From trendy jewelry and hair accessories, to fashion accessories, bags and charms, plus men’s and women’s clothing, they have it all.
NYUNYU has 7 branches in Seoul, mainly around major shopping areas like Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam, and Seongsu.
You’ll definitely be passing through these neighborhoods anyway.

If you can only visit one NYUNYU,
I’d choose the Seongsu-dong branch!
Besides clothes and accessories, Seongsu-dong is also a four-floor, one-stop branch for outfits and lifestyle finds!
The Seongsu NYUNYU branch moves away from the cramped feel of traditional late-night wholesale markets, and instead blends into Seongsu’s local artsy, industrial vibe. The interior and atmosphere are minimalist and modern, bright and open, with a strong sense of aesthetic “ritual” in the details.
The building exterior usually features signature photo spots, like an outdoor pure-white bench or large seasonal installations, so it’s seriously eye-catching. Inside, the Seongsu store is very clean, bright, and modern. With high ceilings and large concrete-texture or minimal-tone walls, plus sleek metal or wooden display shelving, the overall look feels polished and stylish. The space is also very roomy. Even though there are tens of thousands of items, everything is neatly arranged by “color aesthetic” or style zones. The layout flows smoothly with no cramped feeling, and upbeat pop music plays throughout, it feels like stepping into a massive, high-end buyer’s concept store.
It’s even designed like a “home aesthetics playground.” Each floor has different display cases, along with a hands-on craft area and creative lifestyle goods. The space feels warm and super photo-friendly, with a delicate yet relaxing French-Korean girly vibe.
They also have a dedicated home line, with a lifestyle section featuring soft-toned cute pajamas, bathroom items, makeup pouches for storage, and small creative goods. On the 3rd floor there’s a NYUNYU GIFTSHOP space with a wide selection of Korean-style, quality lifestyle items. The indoor diffusers, scented candles, and room sprays are especially recommended as “hidden gem” souvenirs online, thanks to their beautiful packaging and long-lasting scents, including popular “five-star hotel vibe” notes.
Recently, there’s also a Seongsu-only DIY beaded ballpoint pen on B1. This hands-on experience is tucked away in a super popular crafting zone inside the “nyunyu LAB+” lab-style space on Basement Level 1. They offer a customizable DIY beaded pen service, you can choose the pen body you like and all kinds of shaped beads to assemble a one-and-only piece of stationery.
