Since each location has a different layout and interior design,
I also stopped by Medicube in Hongdae on this trip to take a look.
The Hongdae flagship store (on the 1st floor of the NERDY flagship store) has some standout design features,
built around the brand’s signature “Baby Pink” and “pure white” color palette,
creating an Instagrammable space that feels both futuristic and sweet.
Some of the can’t miss interior highlights include🔽
✨ Giant Ultra Bear (울트라베어): This is the store’s main icon, a huge figure that looks like a pink, translucent gummy bear, super eye-catching, and the must-shoot photo spot for every visitor.
✨ Dreamy pink vibe: The store uses lots of soft pink tones paired with clean, modern metallic elements, creating a sweet yet premium, techy atmosphere.
✨ Immersive photo zone (Photo Zone): Besides the bear, there are also permanent themed sets like the “Fantasy Room”, giving visitors a dedicated area to take gorgeous “proof shots”.

Musinsa Standard (무신사 스탠다드) is an independent in-house brand launched in 2017 by MUSINSA, Korea’s largest fashion e-commerce platform.
A shop that’s been popular for ages, but this was my first time going!
Mainly because one day it was colder than expected,
and I thought I should stock up on a few more long-sleeve tops,
then their window display totally caught my eye,
so I went right in.
Its core concept is “high-quality basics”, focusing on minimalist, easy-to-style Korean modern everyday wear, and it’s so popular with young people in Korea that it’s often called “Korea’s national wardrobe”.
💡 Key brand highlights
✨ Minimal, modern style: Many items come in neutral tones like black, white, gray, and earthy shades, with clean tailoring and simple lines, perfect for layering.
✨ Great value for money (insane cost-performance): Priced like fast fashion, but in reviews, the quality and durability are often rated higher than many Western fast-fashion brands in the same price range.
✨ Wide range of sizes and fits: Built on Korean-style cuts designed for Asian body types, pants and tops often come in multiple fits (like wide, straight, slim), with a very broad size selection.
💡 Perfume
Besides clothing and bags, there’s also a perfume section,
mainly displaying perfumes and body fragrance products from Standard Seoul (formerly Musinsa Standard), Musinsa’s in-house brand with the same name.
In addition to Musinsa’s own perfumes, the store also sells the brand’s signature room scent, Mystic Wood (interior fragrance spray), a woody blend specially created for Musinsa Standard stores.
