Hi everyone, annyeonghaseyo! More and more people are getting interested in Korean culture through music and dramas these days, right? I’m sure many of you are also wondering, “What’s trending in Seoul right now?” This time, the three of us, my daughter and my coworkers, all of us who love shopping and beauty, traveled to Korea together! With only 2 nights and 3 days, we packed in the spots that are truly trending locally and explored them efficiently, so I hope this helps anyone planning a trip soon.🔎

Seoul right now has completely different charms depending on the neighborhood. I’ll share the spots that genuinely impressed us in person, along with our real experiences.
📌 Day 1: A treat for yourself, total beauty care in Gangnam and amazing local food. One of the biggest reasons for a Korea trip is, of course, “beauty,” right? It’s more accessible than in Japan, and it’s easy to invest in yourself casually, that’s the appeal. On our first day, we headed to Gangnam and did several treatments we’d been curious about all at once. Mole removal: We used laser care to clean up the spots that had been bothering us. Less makeup effort, and our skin looked brighter! Botox and filler injections: A quick approach to the areas we worried about, and everyone was thrilled by the immediate change. Eyebrow semi-permanent makeup: You can keep beautifully shaped brows even with a bare face, so your morning makeup routine becomes so much easier. Because we finished all of these on day one, from day two onward we could keep makeup minimal and use our time more efficiently to enjoy the trip. This scheduling tip is truly recommended! And after our beauty appointments, the three of us shared yukhoe bibimbap, which became the most memorable highlight of the entire trip. The fresh, slightly sweet yukhoe mixed with fragrant sesame oil in the bibimbap was so delicious we literally went silent after the first bite! Sitting around the table saying, “This is so good!” was a luxurious moment we wouldn’t trade for anything.

📌 Day 2: Trend hub “Seongsu”, and the buzzworthy “CHAGEE”On day two, we went to “Seongsu-dong”, an area lined with shops renovated from old brick buildings. Here, we hopped between pop-up stores (limited-time shops) from the hottest brands in Korea right now. Everywhere you looked was stylish, my daughter and coworker couldn’t stop taking photos. Between shopping stops, we also visited CHAGEE, a premium tea specialty shop from China.

It’s been getting an unbelievable amount of buzz locally after a hugely popular idol raved about it, and the elegant jasmine aroma paired with smooth milk gently soaked into our tired bodies after all that walking. At night, we moved to Myeongdong and enjoyed a very satisfying dinner at Myeongdong Kyoja, famous for its juicy mandu (dumplings).

📌 Day 3: The must-queue Anguk bakery and a last sprint in HongdaeOn the final morning, we headed to the Anguk area, known for its beautiful streets lined with traditional hanok. We went to the bakery that’s a huge craze in Seoul right now, “London Bagel Museum”

and its sister shop, “Artist Bakery”

and treated ourselves by hopping between both. The freshly baked, fragrant salt bread and the satisfyingly chewy bagels are worth lining up for! To wrap up the trip, we headed to Hongdae, overflowing with youthful energy.

At big fashion shops like “MUSINSA”, we had fun picking out the latest Korean trend outfits for each other and enjoyed shopping right up until just before our flight.🙇♀️ SummaryLet’s recap the key points from our fun three-girls trip! For beauty treatments like mole removal and eyebrow semi-permanent makeup, doing them all on the first day is absolutely the right call! Combining the hottest areas on the ground right now, like Seongsu and Anguk, boosts satisfaction! Sharing an incredible yukhoe bibimbap together becomes a once-in-a-lifetime memory! Traveling in Korea with people you care about is full of fresh, exciting discoveries everywhere you go. I hope you’ll create your own favorite plan, too.
