Sea Life Coex Aquarium - My Experience 🐠🐡

Coex Aquarium is one of the experiences considered "a must" in Seoul - if you watch guides, you definitely came across it before! I visited that place twice - during one trip since I had free admission with Discover Seoul Pass, and another trip for their Animal Crossing collaboration! Here I will describe my impression of that place :)

Coex Aquarium is located inside a mall. The entrance is very pretty and instantly features aquariums that encourage anyone passing by to come in!
The ticket price when purchasing online is 28,000 WON.
At the start, I saw aquariums with funny, silly fish. They had lego decorations inside! I wonder if it was some special collab or exhibition, or maybe it’s permanent. Either way, the fish had their very own Lego :)

As I walked further, I saw more unique fish I have never seen before, like this funny long one. They all have boards with their names and descriptions, but I didn’t pay much attention and forgot it..

At some point, I even got to see a crocodile! At first, I didn’t notice it and got startled. His eyes wouldn’t move at all… It was scary but also very exciting - I never had opportunity to see one so close.

Another section I loved were turtles! 🐢 I could see them so closely. They were very beautiful and swam close to us, the visitors.

Nearby, I also discovered my very favorite - otters! I believe otters are very popular in Korea, since I often see plushies and goodies of them.

Thanks to the type of aquarium they were kept in, we could watch them swim. I found it fascinating because they swim so majestically. I spent a good while enjoying that, as I really didn’t wanna move on from them.
The aquarium didn’t only offer water animals though. To my surprise, I passed by some marmots. It was their lunch time! They looked super adorable and I stood watching them closely.

Back to the aquarium however, there was also a section with jellyfish. I saw people take photos there and I could totally see why - they were like a live photospot. Their aquarium featured colorful LEDs, that reflected on them beautifully.

By the end, I saw some axolotls too! They’re also quite popular creatures. They have the cutest faces! I never have seen one before, and Sea Life had them in both pink and black colors! That tiny thing stole my heart 🖤

Last, but not least, there was a room with penguins. It was almost like a sweet bye-bye exhibition. Since penguins are one of my favorite animals, I spent a good while there. Their exhibit was decorated with strawberries! I enjoyed watching them closely a lot. Majority was outside the water, but some that were swimming, would swim right next to me!

All in all, I enjoyed my visits a lot and I believe the tickets are absolutely worth their price. Coex Aquarium features some spots I could rest in, little fun activities like photospots or funny mirrors (they made me look very stretched or very short!) but also various sea animals that I might not see anywhere else, or if I do - not that closely!
I highly recommend this activity with kids, but also for adults looking for some fun time, possibly to feel like in the childhood again :)
