Enjoy shopping and a profile photoshoot in Hongdae!

If you’re popping over to Korea for a quick trip, Hongdae is actually super easy to get around, and I really recommend it!
Enter Korea via Gimpo Airport and head to a cute omurice spot. It felt so refreshing to eat Western food in Korea 🤤
Then I wandered around the main street and did my usual round of clothing stores.
Abel House, which I buy from a lot, had reopened after a renovation, and the floor space had expanded.ᐟ.ᐟ
It’s all about cheap and cute finds here, hunting for hidden gems is the best. It’s reliably adorable, and it spreads all the way down to the basement, so it’s 100% worth browsing. It feels very Korea-core, but there are lots of designs you won’t end up matching with everyone else, that’s my favorite part.
After that, I went to a pharmacy outlet my friend told me about! I was so happy because the medicine I always buy was 1/3 the price compared to places like Gangnam!
When you’re tired, taking a break by grabbing something at a convenience store is a classic Hongdae move. This time I enjoyed self-serve ramen at a ramen convenience store.
After that, I did a profile photo shoot I’d booked on Creatrip 📷💞
It was my first time, but even the self-shoot was in a private room so it wasn’t embarrassing, and I was amazed at how good the retouching was.
They emailed me the phone-ready files too, and I also got physical prints in ID photo size.
Then I stopped by because my favorite, STAND OIL, newly opened in Hongdae!
You can buy a trendy bag like this for around 10,000 yen, so if you’re going to Korea, seriously go take a look 👀💞
From around evening, the crowds start to grow and the street vibe changes all at once, I love that too. It’s the time of day when I most feel like, “Ahh, I’m in Korea.”
At night I moved to Mapo and had Bossam 🐷
In Hongdae there are so many shops I love, from trendy brands to affordable-cute stores, you’ll never run out of places to shop, you can easily spend a whole day there.
If shopping is your main goal, I really recommend it.
