A Really Fun Day at Salon de Indien
Okay, so I have to write about this because it was honestly such a fun experience. I went back to Salon de Indien with my friend Casmira, and this time we decided to try the mafia concept… and it did not disappoint.

First of all—this was actually my second time going, which already made it feel a little special. But what really got me was that the staff remembered me. I wasn’t expecting that at all, and it instantly made me feel welcome. It’s such a small thing, but it really sets the tone for the whole experience.

So this time, Casmira and I went all in on the theme. And when I say “all in,” I mean we were fully playing with all the props. They had so many accessories to choose from, and that was honestly one of the best parts. Trying different props, switching up the vibe, being a little dramatic… it just felt really natural and fun.
Also, I have to talk about the lighting, because wow. The lighting in the studio is actually so good. Like, you know how sometimes you have to really work to get a good angle or hope the photo turns out okay? Here it felt like the lighting was already doing half the job for us. Even the random in-between shots came out looking good, which says a lot.

What I liked most was that it didn’t feel stiff or awkward at all. Sometimes photoshoots can feel a little intimidating, especially if you’re not used to being in front of the camera. But this felt more like just hanging out and being creative. As time went on, we got more comfortable and started trying different poses and expressions and just goofing off.
Going with Casmira made it even better. We were laughing the whole time, hyping each other up, and just enjoying the moment. It didn’t feel like we were trying to get “perfect” pictures you know? It felt like we were just having fun, and the good photos came naturally from that.

And since this was my second visit, I feel like I noticed more this time. Everything is really well prepared, the process is smooth, and the staff are super kind and helpful without making you feel pressured. It just feels like a space where you can relax and enjoy yourself.
Overall, I’m really glad I went back to Salon de Indien. It somehow felt even better than the first time, and now I’m already thinking about what concept I want to try next.
Definitely one of those experiences where you want to just play with your friends!
*The staff even printed me one extra picture because he said he loved the solo shot of me!
