During my recent trip to Busan, I specifically set aside a day for a skincare treatment, and I chose a very well-known clinic: Beauty World Kim Yang Je & Dr. Jang Bong Seok Dermatology. The overall experience honestly exceeded my expectations, so I wanted to share it in detail for anyone considering medical aesthetics in Korea.
The clinic is conveniently located in central Busan, making it easy to access. There are also plenty of shopping areas nearby, so it’s easy to plan your day around the visit. My first impression when I walked in was how clean and elegant the space felt—it didn’t feel like a typical medical clinic, but more like a high-end aesthetic studio. The entire process, from check-in to consultation and treatment, was very smooth and well-organized.
One thing I really appreciated was that the clinic provides multiple Chinese-speaking translators, which made communication completely stress-free. From consultation to the actual procedures, everything was clearly explained, which made me feel very comfortable even though I was abroad.
The consultation was done by a director who carefully analyzed my skin condition and concerns. My main goals were improving pores, skin texture, overall radiance, and facial firmness. Based on that, we decided on a customized treatment plan including: Gold Microneedling, V RO lifting treatment, Rejuran (red box) 4cc, Juvelook 1cc, and forehead Botox.
Before starting, they performed a full facial cleansing followed by numbing cream, which was left on for about 30 minutes. The numbing was quite effective, so the treatments were much more tolerable than I expected.
The first treatment I received was V RO.
This procedure focuses on tightening and lifting using energy-based technology. It felt warm with slight tingling sensations, almost like gentle electrical currents passing through the skin. It wasn’t painful—more like a controlled, lifting sensation. I could actually feel my skin being tightened and lifted as the doctor carefully adjusted the energy levels depending on each area.
Next was Gold Microneedling, which targets pores, acne scars, and overall skin texture. There was a mild prickling sensation, but thanks to the numbing cream, it was very manageable. Combined with a subtle heat effect, it felt like my skin was being deeply stimulated and refreshed.
Then came Rejuran (red box) 4cc, one of the most popular regenerative treatments in Korea. It’s designed to repair and improve skin quality at a deeper level. There was slight swelling during the injections, but the doctor’s technique was very precise and gentle, making the process quick and controlled.
After that, I had Juvelook 1cc, which further enhances skin texture and smoothness. Right after the injection, there were small bumps under the skin, which is completely normal and gradually subsides as the product settles.
Finally, I had forehead Botox, which was very quick—completed within minutes. It helps relax expression lines and creates a smoother, more refined appearance.
After all the procedures, the clinic provided a soothing sheet mask treatment, which I thought was a huge plus. Since the skin can feel slightly sensitive and flushed after microneedling and injections, this calming step really helped reduce redness and discomfort, leaving my skin feeling more balanced and hydrated.
Right after the treatment, my skin had some redness and minor bumps (especially from microneedling and Rejuran), but the downtime was quite manageable.
About 2–3 days later, I started noticing visible improvements—my skin looked more refined, radiant, and smoother. Makeup applied much better and more evenly. Around one week later, the tightening effect and overall skin quality improvement became even more noticeable. It’s the kind of result where people don’t necessarily know what you did, but they can tell you look better.
Overall, I would rate this experience very highly. It’s not just about the equipment or the environment, but the thoughtful treatment combination, skilled technique, seamless communication, and complete post-care process.
If you’re dealing with enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, or simply want an overall skin upgrade without going for heavy fillers, I think this type of treatment combination is definitely worth considering.
