I think many travelers feel the same way.
When visiting a new city,
People like to learn her story through her historic architecture and neighborhoods;
City dwellers love strolling in this kind of atmospheric setting.

Because these are the unique stories of a city,
From old to new, from rustic to bustling,
Everything feels like it's led you through a scene from a drama.
Located between the two famous palaces Gyeongbokgung and Changdukgung,
Many traditional hanok lined up together form a village, making it one of Seoul Station’s most iconic traditional residential areas, it’s a must-visit attraction in Seoul — Bukchon Hanok Village.

Some say she is a street museum herself,
And what I find most special about it,
They kept the original exterior features,
But the interior is still a residence.
Because residents still live there long-term,
Please don't be overly noisy when visiting,
So you don't disturb the residents.
With a history spanning hundreds of years, she is called Bukchon,
It is named for being located north of Cheonggyecheon and Jongro.
During the Joseon era, it was a residential area for yangban nobles,
Until the 1920s, there were no major planning changes here, only a few wealthy households with tall columned gates and several hanok houses.
It wasn't until the 1930s, when Seoul Station's administrative districts expanded and the city's layout began modernizing, that Bukchon started to gradually change.
Reading the description that said, 'Many hanok roofs and eaves in Bukchon are connected, and some even share walls with neighbors, this kind of scenery makes you rediscover a forgotten warm sense of community,'
I really want to visit and see it for myself,
But like all of you,
That's as far as I went.

Of course, besides private homes,
Some parts have also changed their uses to match tourism development,
For example, there is Daejangjangi Wood-fired Pizza (Daejangjangi Wood-fired Pizza) ,
Inside there is a homemade oven and a master making Italian-style pizza on site.
Chamasineun Tteul, a tea garden, is a popular traditional teahouse in Bukchon Hanok Village. Its specialties are raspberry tea and flower ice tea.
I followed a photographer on this trip,
What’s the first thing to do when you arrive at Bukchon Hanok? You can head to the Bukchon Traditional Culture Center to pick up a map and guidebook, where the information and exhibition room has a TV playing short videos with Chinese subtitles that introduce visitors to the history and charm of the hanok village.
The famous Bukchon Eight Views, if you want to see them all,
Be sure to pick one up!

View 1: Changdukgung panorama (overlooking from Bukchon Cultural Center)
Second Scene: Wonseodong Workshop Street (Changdukgung Stone Wall Road)
Three sights: around Gahoe-dong 11 (concentrated traditional hanok)
Four Views: Gahoe-dong 31 Hill (Bukchon Observation Deck)
Five scenic spots: Gahoe-dong downhill street (the ultimate hanok rooftop view)
Six scenic spots: Gahoe, Dongsangp'o Road (the most popular photo spot, with views of Namsan Tower)
Seven Views: Gahoe-dong 31 (a quiet alley)
Eight Views: Samcheongdong Stone Stairway (leading down to Samcheongdong)
Because I came with a photographer this time, we passed the hanok shop 'LUNA TOUCH,' a filming location for the Korean drama Love's Temperature,
The photographer didn't take any photos of me, this solo traveler.
Bukchon hanok village is a must-visit destination,
But the area probably isn't enough to keep you busy for a whole day,
If your trip time is limited,
I suggest planning Bukchon hanok, Gyeongbokgung, Samcheongdong, Insadong, Changdukgung, and Ikseondong all on the same day.
