What did I buy at Olive Young (Part 1)

I believe when girls travel to Korea,
You definitely won't miss Olive Young,
It’s not that I’d miss out, it’s that I do a ton of research before the trip, how could I pass up a shopping spree like this?
Korean beauty, K-Beauty, goes hand in hand with K-Pop and K-Drama culture. Even if you’re not a Hallyu fan, when you see idols, singers, and actors with flawless skin and ageless looks year after year, you can’t help but envy them and want to find out their skincare secrets!
And Olive Young, with its powerful retail network, of course became a shopping hotspot for everyone.
As Korea’s first drugstore built around the Health & Beauty concept, not only does it have many branches and brands, the products sold inside are also high in value for money, which I think is one of the main draws. Plus, you can get a tax refund on a single purchase of 15,000 KRW or more, so as long as you can carry it and fit it in your luggage, everyone goes on a big shopping spree.
And of course I often end up with luggage that’s already full, so since I can stay in Seoul Station a bit longer this time, besides restocking some products I also tried a few items that had good online reviews but I never brought home before. Here’s what I bought on my first day after arriving in Seoul Station at the start of the month!
I have these things, haha, because once I think the destination is Seoul Station, I feel I don't need to bring these everyday items specifically.

This illyoon ceramide body lotion is my repurchase. Once I came to Seoul Station when it was freezing and I hadn’t brought a body lotion, so I rushed to Olive Young to buy this highly rated one. After trying it, I didn’t want to switch brands. It features soy-derived ceramides, a non-irritating formula, no animal ingredients, no mineral oil, no colorants, no fragrance, no triethanolamine, no synthetic preservatives, no PEG surfactants, fragrance-free yet moisturizing (safe for children, pregnant people, atopic dermatitis, and sensitive skin).

Next is a brand everyone should be familiar with, MEDIHEAL masks, from a Korean medical-grade skincare brand known for its professional dermatological research team. I actually haven’t tried their entire range yet, because after trying the Collagen firming mask, Rose PDRN pore-refining mask, Hyaluronate deep hydration mask, and Madecassoside brightening & soothing mask, I’ve been stuck looping through these four forever. They’re reallly good, excellent value for money, and they’re often on sale. Don’t miss them when they’re discounted.

LG Claren White Now teeth whitening strips
I'm still trying this one out because I drink coffee every day and often need to take photos, so I grabbed it when it was on sale. So far I think it's working. I like to stick the whitening strips on while I’m doing a face mask, the idea being I can treat everything at once, but the strips need to stay on longer, about an hour each day. They work by applying a gel containing hydrogen peroxide to the tooth surface, letting it sit so an oxidation-reduction reaction occurs, which breaks down pigments from long-term coffee, tea, and other staining foods, producing a whitening effect.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
This is one of the products I’ve been using since I first discovered LANEIGE about eight or nine years ago. My lips peel easily even when it’s not cold or dry, so I basically apply this every night, and I actually often leave it on while I’m getting ready in the morning before putting on lipstick.

I'll stop here for now,
I have school again tomorrow,
See you in the next post
