Besides the beautiful natural and historical attractions, one must-see in a maritime country like Korea is its aquariums.
They allow you to experience the richness and beauty of the underwater world with your own eyes. One such popular aquarium is the Coex Sea Life Aquarium.
The COEX Aquarium is a large aquarium featuring 183 exhibition tanks and 90 breeding tanks, holding 3,500 tons of water. It is home to over 20,000 marine creatures from 650 species, all within themed zones under the theme "Fantastic Journey of Water." This family-friendly aquarium boasts the largest shark habitats in South Korea, housing 17 shark species.

Immediately upon entering, visitors are immersed in a magical underwater world. The beautifully illuminated aquariums make it feel as if you're at the bottom of the sea or ocean.

One of the first aquariums you see right after entering is the one with jellyfish. The sight of these amazing creatures is truly mesmerizing; you just want to spend hours watching their graceful movements in the water.

Experience the aquarium like never before at the new Sea at Night zone. Immerse yourself in a sea of sparkling marine life and embark on a night time adventure beneath the waves!

Aquariums with arches or round shapes look very beautiful. They're also a great place for a photo shoot.

Next, we'll explore various marine life, primarily corals. Videos and interactive programs explain them in detail. The corals themselves are incredibly diverse and beautiful; their subtle movements and shimmering underwater are simply breathtaking!

There are also some amazing fish and mollusks here. I was particularly impressed by the large octopus that was constantly moving around the aquarium.

It's a wonderful idea to divide the aquarium into thematic sections. The first section is dedicated to the Korean underwater world. It features a wide variety of marine life found in Korean waters.

The decorations are wonderfully done, as if you were in the middle of nature.

The next room is even more beautiful. It recreates a traditional Korean garden. Beautiful hanoks, a pond with goldfish and lotuses—it's a completely immersive atmosphere. It feels like you've actually found yourself in a traditional Korean garden somewhere on the palace grounds. There are several traditional photo zones for wonderful shots. Although the entire room is one big photo zone!

Further on lies another amazing room. It's as if you're passing through a cavernous vault and entering a huge cavern filled with tropical vegetation. It's Amazonia World.

Walk through the lush tropical rainforests of the Amazon highlands and bat caves.
Follow the river's course until it meets the sea downstream!

Shall we meet the creatures that inhabit the Amazon River?
From fascinating electric eels that send shivers down your spine to the giant freshwater fish called the Pirarucu, enjoy captivating stories along the way!

Everything is so realistic, it's like you're in a real jungle. Simply amazing! Wonderful opportunity to admire this recreation of the Amazon atmosphere within the heart of Seoul.

You could even see large sea turtles and a crocodile.

There's also a large aquarium with otters. They're incredibly playful and agile animals. It's a joy to watch them play and swim.

I was also very impressed by the huge open aquarium. It replicated a real open pond with various fish and turtles. Particularly astonishing was the sight of the enormous stingrays swimming, sometimes diving to the bottom, sometimes surfacing, creating enormous waves and skimming the surface.

Very beautiful sea creatures swim in the Marine gallery.

At first glance, it is difficult to understand whether these are plants or animals.

The main tank and pride of SEA LIFE COEX, Seoul Aquarium is the "Ocean Kingdom"! Discover around 40 different species of sharks, including Sandbar Sharks, Sand Tiger Sharks, and Zebra Sharks, along with other marine life such as stingrays, living happily together in the Ocean Kingdom at SEA LIFE COEX, Seoul Aquarium.

There is a Seal Beach Cove nearby. Wonderful seals live here, and you can watch their dexterous and quick movements for hours.

The pride of the aquarium is the underwater tunnel. This underwater tunnel at SEA LIFE COEX, Seoul Aquarium allows you to experience the beauty of the deep sea! Being able to see rays and sharks from below makes you feel like you're walking under the sea!

Another photo spot in the Deep Blue Sea Tunnel. When you sit by the circular tank and take pictures, it feels like you've created your own secret and small sea world!

Then step into the magical world of seahorses and learn all about them in the Secret Garden of Seahorses. This was the first time I saw such a variety of seahorses.

Another funny and amazing creature is the axolotl.

And at the very end of the aquarium is the penguin area. I really enjoy watching these amazing creatures, who walk awkwardly and comically on land, but swim quickly and dexterously in the water.

I highly recommend everyone visit the Aquarium to see the riches of the deep sea. It's a unique and wonderful opportunity. A great option to spend a wonderful day with family or friends.
