Share this with anyone thinking about laser eye surgery.

Sharing for those also considering myopia laser (LASIK)!
Before surgery my nearsightedness was around -4.50, and it was really inconvenient when going on trips. I had always wanted to get the surgery, and before my trip I heard about Mingmu Eye Clinic. I also happened to have a 1–2 day gap in my schedule, and since I saw an exclusive booking discount on Creatrip, I booked right away

When I arrived that day a translator immediately came to help, then I had a series of tests and evaluations (about 40–60 minutes) including prescription (diopters), corneal thickness, curvature, pupil response, and so many other checks I can’t remember them all. After the exams I had some dry eye, possibly from wearing too many contact lenses, but everyone’s situation is different. Later I went into the consultation room where the staff patiently explained the different surgical options and how they differ. After choosing a plan they run one more test for final confirmation, and finding the results similar to the first test was really reassuring, so you don’t have to worry about measurement errors. After a discussion with the doctor to confirm there are no hereditary conditions that could cause post-op complications, the surgery can proceed.
Shortly after the final payment was completed, I was taken into the operating room, the whole process was super fast. Someone guided me the whole way from entering to changing clothes, surgical gown, surgical cap, and a thorough disinfection of my eyes. A translator was by my side explaining everything in real time. On the operating table it was really quick, after lying down they gave me a doll to hold and even covered me with a blanket to reduce my nervousness. During the procedure I had to keep looking at a green dot, then the surgery started. My only small worry was that when the green dot suddenly disappeared, I felt a bit unsure whether I had moved.
Right after the surgery I could see, but everything looked kind of hazy (a bit like not wearing glasses, but slightly clearer). The haze increased for a bit then slowly faded. I followed the instructions and kept applying eye drops and artificial tears, and recovery was actually faster than I expected. After 4–5 hours there was still a little watery haze, but I could see pretty clearly, and it felt like a huge liberation! I did have a brief uncomfortable period with a sharp, stinging feeling, my eyes kept watering and I couldn’t open them. I’m not sure if it was because I went to eat grilled meat 🤣 I kept using artificial tears to moisturize, and the discomfort was gone after about 30 minutes.

The next-day follow-up was also very quick, my vision was already 1.0, and everything looked great. Aside from a bit of watery haze and a slight gritty, foreign‑body sensation, everything else was excellent. The hospital’s post-op instructions were very thorough, and they gave a lot of care items like artificial tears, an eye shield, and sunglasses, and kindly reminded me that ongoing care is truly very, very important

This surgery experience was smoother and faster than I expected. The translator and the price were really friendly.
