Busan Accommodation Experience Review | Honest Stay Impressions on Location Convenience and Room Space

We just finished this cozy trip to Busan with my daughter, and while going through photos after returning home, I kept smiling at the pictures of us playing and sorting our purchases in the hotel room, feeling we chose the right place to stay. What I want to share this time is our home in Busan — Lion Hotel, located in Seomyeon.
When I used to bring the kids to Busan, I was always torn between Haeundae’s beach and the streets of Nampo-dong. This time, since we planned to go to the RunRun Human Body Experience to let the kids burn off energy, and we also needed to take a trip to Gyeongju to see the snow, convenient transportation became my deciding factor. Seomyeon Station, as the golden transfer point for Busan Metro Line 1 and Line 2, means you don’t have to transfer until you’re dizzy no matter where you’re going. Among the many Seomyeon hotels, I used Creatrip to lock in this Lion Hotel, which has top-rated space reviews and roomy room types. Today I’ll share the real details of our stay at this hotel.
Exit Seomyeon Station at Exit 7, walk through the lively, food-filled shopping district, and in under ten minutes you'll see the Lion Hotel's striking, elegant sign. The hotel's exterior uses dark marble, giving a solid, professional impression, which immediately puts moms who are traveling with kids and care about lodging quality and safety at ease.

Walking into the lobby, the minimalist design instantly put me at ease. The front desk staff were busy but very efficient. I had already booked the room type on Creatrip before I left, and at check-in I just showed the electronic voucher on my phone. After verifying my name, the front desk handed me the room key card in under three minutes. This one-stop booking experience, with no digging for paper reservations and no language barrier, saved me a lot of anxious time.
The moment I swiped the room key card to open the door, my daughter and I both gasped. In the tightly packed, bustling Seomyeon district I had already braced myself for a possibly cramped room, so I was surprised the indoor space at Lion Hotel was this huge!

The room’s interior features a warm wood tone. The floor feels smooth and solid underfoot, unlike carpet that can trap dirt, which is a big plus for travelers who like things very clean. The bed’s firmness is just right, with enough support that after a long day of walking we could lie down and feel our muscles fully relax.
What pleased me most as a heavy smartphone user was the outlet layout. The hotel clearly considered modern travelers' needs, placing outlets above the bedside table. My daughter and I could each curl up in bed to scroll our phones and organize that day's travel notes before sleep, without stretching charging cables long distances, or even bending down under the desk to find a socket.

As a mom, the hotel bathroom is what I’m most picky about. Lion Hotel’s bathroom uses a separated wet and dry bath design, with a frosted glass partition that makes the space feel more open and not claustrophobic. The grout between the wall and floor tiles was cleaned very thoroughly, with none of the musty damp smell you get in older hotels.

And what surprised my daughter and me the most was the fully automatic bidet toilet! In chilly Busan mornings and evenings in February, getting up and stepping into the bathroom to sit on that warm seat felt like a bodily salvation. The control panel on the side of the toilet had every function you could want, my daughter even joked that it was her favorite piece of furniture in the hotel.

Also, the hairdryer in the room wasn’t the weak, wall-mounted kind, it was a standalone hairdryer with strong airflow. That was so important for me and my daughter, who both have long hair — we could dry our hair in under ten minutes. With the hotel’s provided comb and toiletries, we were able to head out looking neat and put together every day.

The room also came with a bright red electric kettle and a dedicated teacup. Every morning before my daughter woke up, I would boil a pot of hot water, make a cup of hot tea, and stand by the window watching Seomyeon’s streets slowly wake up. That relaxing ritual is one of the most charming parts of independent travel.

When it comes to convenience, staying here means you don’t have to worry about going hungry. Just downstairs and around the corner is a 24-hour convenience store, so grabbing strawberry milk or late-night snacks in the middle of the night is super easy. The nearby Seomyeon shopping district has so many dining options it’s hard to choose, whether you want hot grilled meat, authentic pork soup with rice, or to cool off while shopping in a department store, all within walking distance. For parents with kids, not having to walk far in the hot sun or cold wind is the best convenience.
I stayed at Lion Hotel for four nights this time, and each time I returned to the room I felt that relaxing, just-like-home comfort. The hotel is generous with its physical space, and the service and attention to detail are just right.
Booking through Creatrip not only makes pricing transparent, the app’s all-in-one management also put this itinerary nerd at ease. All reservation vouchers are on my phone, so I didn’t have to worry about missing any details. If you’re planning an independent trip to Busan, want to stay in the metro interchange core, and hope for a big space to spread out all your haul, then Seomyeon’s Lion Hotel definitely won’t disappoint.
May every journey bring you plenty of rest in comfortable accommodations, so you can continue exploring the world's wonders fully recharged!
