Finally got rid of my glasses!

If you ask me what the most meaningful thing I did in 2025 was, it was definitely Laser Vision Correction — I've already convinced friends around me to go for consultations <
I looked online for international myopia surgery experiences and found many shares from Korea. Since Korea is also close to Taiwan, there are lots of recommendations for Mingmu Clinic online. Even my ophthalmologist in Taiwan knew about it — he said the laser technology in Korea is really excellent; his wife and kids also had their procedures there, so he was completely confident 😍. Scheduling an online consultation with the clinic manager (sister) was also very pleasant — she was very kind and answered all my questions carefully. Here they suggest first going to an ophthalmology clinic for a detailed Examination; having preliminary data to discuss with the clinic manager will be more efficient.
After the consultation I was really looking forward to the surgery! So when I saw that booking through Creatrip that month came with a discount and extra Eye Drops plus Blue elephant sunglasses, I decided to pay right away. The appointment time could still be adjusted with the clinic, and because my mom needed time off I changed the date 3–4 times — the clinic was very patient and even recommended accommodations, which really made me feel very reassured!
On the day of the surgery, they still performed almost two hours of very thorough preoperative Examination, which was 100 times more detailed than in Taiwan. They even had two technicians assist with the light measurements twice so the results wouldn’t be skewed by a single technician’s preference. Hearing this was really surprising — incredibly meticulous! There was absolutely none of the rushed feeling other people mentioned about finishing the checks quickly; every Examination was very detailed. Throughout the process a Translation Sister from Taiwan was with you, so you don’t have to worry about not understanding.
After the Examination, the doctor will examine your eyeballs and discuss the option that suits you. Afterwards, the Translation Sister will also explain each option and the costs in detail, along with any optional add-ons — there is no pressure, they only recommend based on your Examination results. Considering my eye condition, work, and lifestyle, the doctor and the Translation Sister both recommended I get Smile Pro 2.0. I also added dry eye treatment and a powerful set of Eye Drops, which help the later healing go faster.

Then I paid by card and got ready for the surgery! Because I added dry eye treatment it took a bit longer, but it was still very quick. The Translation Sister kept holding my hand and chatting with me to distract me so my eyeballs wouldn’t move, and the surgery finished while we were just talking. At that moment my vision had almost recovered to 80%, but there was a slight watery haze, kind of like the fogginess from contact lenses — not uncomfortable. After about 20 minutes when the anesthesia wore off it felt like being smoked by burning joss paper, making me tear up and causing a bit of stinging; it lasted about an hour and then returned to normal. Just remember to keep putting in Eye Drops every 10 minutes. I set an alarm but still fell asleep afterward. In the evening I even went to have Korean BBQ and do some big shopping with my mom — the world became so clear and awesome! I’m not sure if it’s because I had the dry eye treatment, but my eyes have rarely felt dry, which made me keep forgetting to put in Eye Drops and Artificial Tears 😂
Two days later I went back for a follow-up for infrared recovery treatment and a simple Examination, and that day my vision had already recovered to 2.0! I was originally only expected to get to 0.9, so I was super satisfied!!!
BTW my mom really loves the complimentary sunglasses

It's been two months today, and I've been raving about it to all my friends. I regret not doing it sooner. If you're considering Laser Vision Correction, you might also consider Mingmu Eye Clinic!
