Postoperative Notes for Ophthalmology

After first hearing a friend share their experience, I attended an information session and then scheduled a visit to Korea for laser eye surgery before Christmas. In the past I hadn’t gone ahead with the procedure in Taiwan mainly because the price was relatively high, so I decided to have the surgery in Korea and arrange a trip at the same time — killing two birds with one stone.
The clinic's overall environment is very comfortable; the staff are friendly and polite, always smiling. The place is crowded with many people, both locals and overseas travelers, which makes one feel even more confident in the clinic's professionalism and reputation.
From the consultation through the examination process, all staff were very patient, repeatedly answering our various questions and explaining in detail how to use postoperative eye drops and daily care precautions. With multiple precision instrument tests, we gained a clearer understanding of the actual condition of our eyes and discovered that we actually had a mild dry eye issue. The optometrist and the doctor were both very careful, repeatedly confirming according to the individual's eye condition and not rushing into surgery, which made us feel very reassured.

The translators were also very professional and attentive; they not only clearly explained each step of the process but also helped calm nerves when needed, making overall communication very smooth.
The three of us traveled together this time, and with a friend's recommendation, the price was very reasonable and the value was excellent.
There was almost no discomfort during the actual procedure; the clinic even provided comfort dolls to hold, which helped people relax a lot. When the anesthetic wore off, each person reacted slightly differently, but because the possible effects were repeatedly explained before and after the procedure, it did not cause fear mentally.
After the procedure, thoughtful protective goggles for sleeping and sunglasses for going out were provided; the attention to detail was very thorough.
At the follow-up visit the next day, vision had already recovered to 0.9; thereafter only regular application of the eye drops as directed was necessary, and the recovery of vision was faster than expected
Recovered quickly. Being able to officially get rid of my glasses made me really happy, and it also reminded me to take better care of my eyes in the future.
Overall, this was a very worthwhile experience; whether in professionalism, service quality, or price, it was all very satisfying.
