My Myeongdong Travel Route

Thu Angela
I just came back from my trip to Seoul, and one of the places I ended up spending a lot of time in was Myeongdong. Since many people visit Myeongdong for the first time and feel overwhelmed, I wanted to share my own experience using this map. Hopefully it helps someone planning a trip soon.

1. Leesar Coffee
📍58 Myeongdong 8ga-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
This was the first stop on my routroute and honestly such a perfect start to the day. It’s a tiny standing espresso bar, but the coffee is extremely strong and smooth. Of course I took a photo at the gold mirror wall now I understand why it’s all over Instagram. My favorite drink was their iced, granita-style espresso. So refreshing.

2. HAZZYS Flagship Store
📍28 Myeongdong 8ga-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
From Leesar, I walked straight to HAZZYS. Even if you’re not planning to shop, the store is still worth visiting. It’s bright, clean, and has that modern Korean aesthetic. The part that surprised me the most: they offer free luggage storage for tourists. I used it immediately, and walking around Myeongdong without my suitcase felt amazing.

3. K MECCA K-Pop Hub
📍5 Myeongdong 8na-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
If you love K-pop, this place is so much fun. They have official merch, albums, and special photocards. I even took a couple of fan-style photos at their mini photo bootbooth, it was such a cute little moment and felt very “Myeongdong tourist.”

4. Myeongdong Kyoja (Main Branch)
📍29 Myeongdong 10-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
This restaurant was packed, but totally worth the wait. The knife-cut noodles and dumplings are simple but so comforting. It feels like homemade food. If the line is too long, there’s another branch nearby with the same menu, which is super convenient.

5. Olive Young Myeongdong Town
📍53 Myeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
If you want to shop for K-beauty, this place is basically heaven. The store is huge and has almost every trending product you see online. They also have a tax refund counter inside, so you can get your refund right away, which makes shopping even easier.
