First time at a Korean hair salon — a total success

As a big P person, I didn’t do any serious research before my convenient trip to Seoul; I only used this app to find inspiration after arriving at Gimpo Airport. Very luckily, I unexpectedly discovered that this salon was running a promotion, and other platforms online — whether Google Maps, Naver Map, or KKday — were almost all positive, so I made a reservation right away. (You need to book at least two days in advance, so I was fortunate to be able to go on the last day of my trip to Seoul.)
I ended up spending a bit more time finding the place because I hadn’t figured out the branch location, so I was a little late, but the staff were still friendly and welcoming. After putting my things away, they quickly brought a refreshing iced Americano, and with the drink in hand I was able to take a seat. It was a weekday morning with few people, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

This time's designer is Yina — very beautiful, warm, and friendly. She can communicate with a little English and is happy to use translation tools for more detailed conversations.
Yina first asked about styling expectations and, based on her expertise, provided hair treatment recommendations. Although it wasn’t cheap, it felt like a necessary, in-depth treatment (she seemed to use two or three different conditioners and applied heat), which is quite different from the discounted packages sold on the platform.

Based on my experience at hair salons in Taiwan, I originally thought I needed to set aside an entire afternoon, but I didn't expect this place to be very efficient. Even though there were other clients needing service, the entire haircut/treatment/shampoo/perming/blowout was successfully finished in 2.5 hours. Before the blowout, Yina also taught me how to do my own blowout.
Very satisfied with the final result and the friendly treatment throughout the process — highly recommended. Also, it’s interesting that this salon opens as early as 7:30 AM, which might be perfect for travelers taking early flights or red-eyes to stop by after a simple breakfast for a haircut and some rest, so they can start their trip looking great.
