I had no prior experience with cosmetic medical treatments; I came to Korea for my first one. I saw on Instagram that Creatrip was holding a cosmetic medical information session at the W Hotel in Taipei, so I went to attend~
This time I went to Gangnam abijou Medical Aesthetics Clinic and picked Package C, the electro-music party; their Gangnam new branch is a standalone clinic and easier to find

There are also various drinks made by robotic arms on site that you can use for free, and the environment is great! However, we had reserved an orientation at the main building, so after removing our makeup the staff took us to the nearby main building’s 13th floor for a skin analysis and a follow-up consultation.

Our department head is super pretty and has a very gentle voice. A Chinese translator accompanied me throughout the consultation, so there were no language barriers. I received the treatment in the main building and had a private VIP room, but my friend in the new building was in a more assembly-line public space.

During the numbing process I heard the next room wailing — it was pretty scary. I had Thermage, Ultherapy, a gold microneedling treatment, 4cc of Lizhu blue-red vial, complimentary elastic botox, and LDM before-and-after care. Doing the procedures myself was a pain piled on pain; tears kept flowing. The worst was the complimentary elastic botox — the kind that makes you want to burst into sobs. Afterward my face was swollen and bruised; it’s been a week and it still hasn’t gone down. I hope the bruising and swelling subside and the results show through.

It’s a bit unfortunate: because our consultation for the three of us started late, by the time the procedure was finished they may have already left work and forgot to give me the tax refund receipt. I had to ask them before they remembered and took it to the new branch to issue it, but the card charge amount wasn’t the amount of today’s purchase, and they didn’t provide a detailed receipt or member login information. I only got that by messaging the official Instagram. I recommend everyone remember these things yourselves to avoid staff forgetting and ending up confused.
Also note that the information session is scheduled to include a complimentary 300,000 KRW skincare voucher. Unfortunately, although the session said attendees could choose the items, the items were already pre-bagged on site, so there was no time to pick and no usage instruction — you have to look it up on Google yourself.
