Busan has always been one of those cities that perfectly balance relaxation and adventure. During my recent trip, I got to experience the best of both, from scenic rides and ocean walks to cozy cafés and unforgettable food.

After an almost four-hour drive, our first stop was Tokyo Table, a restaurant featured in Busan’s Michelin Guide. It was the perfect way to begin our trip. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, setting a high bar for the rest of our Busan adventure.

Busan Sky Capsule, one of the most iconic attractions in the city. Riding the capsule felt like stepping into a pastel-colored postcard. The little cars move slowly along the elevated track, offering a stunning view of the coastline and sparkling sea. As the capsule glided over the tracks, I couldn’t help but admire how peaceful and beautiful the view was.

After the ride, we decided to walk back along a coastal trail leading to Cheongsapo Station. The ocean breeze, gentle waves, and soft sunlight made the walk extra refreshing.

There’s a famous photo spot near the station, where you can capture the train as it passes by, and of course, we didn’t miss that opportunity. It’s one of those moments that feels simple but stays with you.

People wait for the train and take some nice photos.

Just a short walk from there is Lua & Tigre Café, a charming spot near the station. We spent the afternoon there, sipping coffee and enjoying dessert while taking in the view. The café had such a relaxing atmosphere that it felt like time slowed down for a while.

As the sun began to set, we headed to Gwangalli Beach, one of Busan’s liveliest areas. The place was buzzing with energy, filled with people strolling along the shore and dining in seaside restaurants. We chose Bronx Brewing Co. for dinner, a place that serves great Western-style dishes and craft beer. We ordered pasta, tacos, meat dishes, and dessert, all of which were delicious.

From our table, we had the perfect view of the 7 PM Drone Show, a highlight of the evening. The colorful drones lit up the night sky, creating dazzling shapes and animations above the Gwangan Bridge. It was absolutely wonderful.

Later, we walked back to our Airbnb and were surprised by another treat, a yacht fireworks show, visible right from our window. Watching the bright fireworks reflect off the sea was the perfect way to end the night.

The next morning, we tried Busan’s famous rice pork soup (dwaeji-gukbap) at Anmok which is another restaurant featured in Busan's Michelin Guide. It was hearty, comforting, and perfect after a long day of walking.

We also returned to Gwangalli Beach to shop for souvenirs and stumbled upon a cute Miffy exhibition and store, which was such a delightful find.

Before heading back, we visited Chaseonchaek Café, a cozy spot known for its calm vibe and good coffee. We ordered their signature black sesame cake, and it truly lived up to the hype.

Overall, our Busan trip was filled with small but beautiful moments, from scenic views and great food to peaceful walks. Busan isn’t just a city by the sea; it’s a place where you can slow down, enjoy the view, and create lasting memories. I’d definitely love to go back again.
