A peaceful day watching the sunset by the sea from

Yesterday afternoon, my husband and I decided to drive from 서구, 광주 to the beach for a change of scenery — it only took about an hour and a half to get to Baeksu Coastal Road, which is famous for its beautiful coastal route and picturesque sunset views.

Stopping at Noeul Observatory (노을전망대), I was truly surprised to see the pure white wing statue named “Endless Love” (끝없는 사랑). The two wings are gracefully curved upwards, standing right in front of the sea, looking like an angel ready to fly into the sunset.

Check in “sea angel” — million-like photo spot
I arrived around 3 p.m., when it was still bright and the sea breeze was pleasantly cool. But the most beautiful moment was when the sun gradually set, golden-orange light covering the whole space, reflecting on the white wings and creating a scene that was both romantic and majestic.

If you like taking photos, then this is truly a “top-notch photo spot.”
Just stand between the two wings, raise your hand, and you'll instantly have a photo like an “angel in the middle of the sea.” I recommend wearing light-colored clothes, especially white, to stand out against the sky and sea background.

Dine at a local seafood restaurant (suggestion: grilled fish, clam soup)

This trip truly made me feel relaxed and at peace.
Standing before the sea, amidst the sound of waves and wind, the “Endless Love” wings seem to remind me that—love and freedom can always go hand in hand, as long as we know how to cherish the little moments around us.

If you are near 광주 and have never been to Baeksu Coastal Road, you definitely have to try watching the sunset at Noeul Observatory at least once. Trust me, you will take home hundreds of beautiful photos and a lighthearted soul
