The experience of traveling to Seoul

After spending 1 month here, I can finally realize what it's like to live the Korean experience.
I originally came for my studies at Chung-Ang University so I haven't yet had time to see everything. Nevertheless, from everything I have been able to see, the experience has already been so rewarding. I have visited Myeong-dong, Hongdae, Hoegi, Dongjak, Dongdaemun and many others.

The experience so far has been so enriching: I have been able to attend countless shows and festivals: the Thai festival, an open event for NCT WISH, free concerts along the Han River, a performance at the Main Royal Palace, and the traditional festival of Hanok Village. Also, for some of my experiences I went through Creatrip, which greatly facilitated my bookings and finding activities to do. All of these experiences have really rooted me in Korean culture.

Additionally, the food is sumptuous. Everything is extremely affordable in terms of price compared to France. I can eat at a restaurant almost every day and really taste the flavors here. It's actually interesting to taste flavors from other countries while in Korea. They are very good at Japanese dishes! Some Korean foods are rather surprising but don't be afraid to force yourself to try them! Some things that look strange are actually very good.

Additionally, all the landscapes are incredible and really different from what we're used to seeing in France. It's a pleasure (even painful) to walk all the uphill streets and stairs (for the sake of my physical health!). There are many very beautiful places to see and visit.

Finally, don't be afraid to approach the locals (go gently to make sure they speak English). Many understand it even if they don't speak it, so don't hesitate to reach out to them if you are lost or have questions. Everyone is extremely kind and caring.

I think what surprised me most here is the size of the city. It's so huge that a simple trip can take over an hour. Nevertheless, the subways and buses are very affordable and easy to understand. So once you get used to them, it's quite efficient! And if you have problems with public transportation, there are taxis at all hours and they are very affordable.

In conclusion, my experience in Korea is far from over. I still have a lot to visit and discover. I plan to keep using Creatrip because it's a good way to stay informed about upcoming events, but I will also try to get closer to some locals to experience it even more! The advice I can give is first to dare to do plenty of things, so you have no regrets. And above all, enjoy it to the fullest because coming here is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I can't wait to see what the next part of my journey has in store for me!
