This time, when my partner and I were choosing which country to travel to, I had already been wanting to get laser eye surgery for nearsightedness for a year, so she suggested that we go to Korea for a trip and get the surgery done at the same time. Since it was our first time traveling abroad and Seoul is considered a beginner-friendly city, we decisively booked our tickets and got ready to go!
When I first started looking for which clinic to go to, I saw quite a few different clinics on Instagram, and at that time I was leaning toward two or three that were more highly recommended. Later, I found the Creatrip website online, so I clicked in to compare the prices and package details of each clinic (actually, the prices were all about the same), and eventually chose Bright Vision Eye Clinic. Luckily, before I left, Creatrip happened to be holding an online information session for Bright Vision Eye Clinic. If you made a reservation during the session, you could get a pair of Blue Elephant sunglasses and some artificial tears for post-op care, so I officially decided to have the surgery at Bright Vision Eye Clinic.

I scheduled my surgery for the first day I arrived in Korea. That day was a Saturday, and the clinic was only open until 5:00 PM, so I rushed to the clinic as soon as I got off the plane. When I entered the clinic, the staff member responsible for receiving us spoke Chinese, so we just followed the steps without having to think much. During the pre-surgery checkup and consultation, a Chinese translator was assigned to accompany us at all times. No matter what questions we had, we could ask them directly, with no communication barriers.

After the consultation, once you've decided on which surgery to have, you can go straight to the counter to pay and then go upstairs for the procedure!

This time I decided to do Smile Pro. The time for applying the numbing cream and the laser surgery was about 5 minutes, and it was over before I even had a chance to get nervous. There was no pain after the surgery, but my eyes felt especially dry and had a severe foggy sensation. I suggest everyone go straight back to the hotel to rest after the surgery. I wandered around outside for a while after my procedure, and I think not letting my eyes rest properly made them feel uncomfortable that night. However, by the first night, I could clearly feel my vision gradually recovering, and the foggy feeling completely disappeared around the third day (though this may vary from person to person). The day after surgery, you can wear sunglasses to go shopping, but you'll need to use eye drops and artificial tears from time to time.
Because my surgery was on Saturday, I had my follow-up appointment two days later. During the follow-up check, my vision had already recovered to 1.0, and my eye pressure was normal. All that's left is to take good care of my eyes after the surgery!

Actually, before deciding to get laser eye surgery in Korea, I read some articles and saw a lot of discouraging comments underneath, which made me worry that having the surgery in Korea might end up ruining my eyes beyond repair. However, after consulting with Myungmo Eye Clinic through messaging apps and an online video consultation, I still decided to come to Korea for the surgery. My experience getting laser eye surgery in Korea was excellent; the value for money was especially high. I highly recommend considering Myungmo Eye Clinic for laser eye surgery.

Because my eyes are naturally dry, I can't really wear contact lenses, so when I exercise or go to formal events, I have to wear glasses, which is really inconvenient. Now I can finally get rid of my glasses!
