Jeju Trickeye 3D Art Museum

This trip to Jeju Island, besides delicious food and natural attractions, I also specially arranged a super fun place—Trickeye 3D Museum! Honestly, at first I just wanted to kill some time, but once I went in, I couldn't stop at all. In the end, I took over 500 photos on my phone, and sorting them out when I got back almost made my eyes go blurry 😂.

As soon as you walk in, you can't help but exclaim in amazement
The unique feature of the Trickeye 3D Museum is its use of optical illusions and painting techniques to make you feel like you’ve really stepped into the artwork. Unlike regular museums where you can only quietly appreciate the art, here you’re encouraged to take photos, have fun, and strike poses—it’s a truly interactive experience.
At first, I felt a bit embarrassed and thought posing for photos might be awkward, but seeing everyone so relaxed made me join in right away. When the background changes, you can become a hero, an adventurer, even battle dinosaurs, or get swallowed by giant waves. It’s all super fun.

Ultra-realistic illusion scene
There are lots of sections inside, and each theme is designed very exquisitely:
Adventure Zone: I took a photo of myself clinging to the edge of a cliff, and it almost scared me weak in the knees.
Fantasy Zone: There are magicians, flying carpets, and even a glowing ice and snow world—it feels just like stepping into a fairy tale.
Animal Area: Super cute! A big shark bursts out of the wall
Classic Masterpiece Area: You can interact with famous paintings, like becoming Mona Lisa's good friend—it's really hilarious.

Each area has little tips telling you 'how to pose to look the most realistic.' My friend and I studied them and tried them out together, often laughing so hard we couldn't take the pictures.
How did the 500 photos come about?
Because every single corner is just too photogenic! You think taking one picture is enough? Impossible—just for one scene, you need a normal shot, an exaggerated one, and a funny one, plus you have to try different angles. And since I'm the type of person who wants to 'collect photos from every area,' I just ended up taking more and more pictures.
One more thing I have to mention—the lighting here is designed really well, so you don’t really need extra editing. The photos look great straight out of the camera. No wonder I couldn’t stop taking pictures, and by the end my phone kept popping up with “Storage Full” warnings.
The atmosphere is super fun, no need to worry about awkwardness
Usually, people speak softly when they go to art museums, but it’s the complete opposite here. There’s laughter everywhere, people help each other take photos, and when you see strangers striking hilarious poses, you just can’t help but laugh along. This relaxed atmosphere makes you feel totally at ease, and whether or not you love taking pictures, you’ll have a great time.
My favorite scene is the one where the 'big whale opens its mouth.' I originally wanted to look cool, but it ended up looking like a little shrimp being swallowed, and I couldn't stop laughing. There's also a scene of 'escaping from a big fire,' and I acted so realistically that the photo really looks like a still from a disaster movie.
Little experience sharing
It took about two hours to play, but honestly the time just flew by. When I came out, I felt even more exhausted than after going to an amusement park, because I was constantly posing and running around—it was really tiring. But for that very reason, I ended up with lots of memories and tons of photos, and it definitely didn't feel like a waste of time.
I think Trickeye 3D Museum is very suitable for:
Couples playing together will have sweet photos.
Family trips will definitely make the kids laugh like crazy.
With friends, you can take a bunch of hilarious group photos.
Also, coming here on rainy days or when the weather is bad is perfect. You don't have to worry at all about your outdoor plans being disrupted.
Summary
If you're like me and love taking photos, or if you want to find a fun, relaxing place during your trip, then the Trickeye 3D Museum in Jeju is definitely a must-visit. Walking in feels like entering another world—you'll take so many photos your hands will get tired, but the laughter won't stop.
When I came back to organize my photos, I really did smile and relive the experience. I think this was the most worthwhile 'unexpected surprise' of the Jeju trip! If I get the chance next time, I want to go again and see if I can break the record of 1,000 photos 🤣.
