Today, I want to introduce the Blue House in South Korea (청와대). Originally, I didn't have high expectations for visiting the Blue House, but after going inside, I felt it was very worthwhile! If any of you are visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace or Anguk Station, I recommend setting aside some time to visit the Blue House.
  • Address: 1 Cheongwadae-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
  • Transportation
    • 15-minute walk from Exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung Station
    • 20-minute walk from Exit 1 of Anguk Station
  • Opening Hours
    • March to November 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Last admission at 5:30 PM
    • December to February 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Last admission at 5:00 PM
  • Fee: Free

Foreigners can make a reservation in advance online, the reservation website is as follows:
https://reserve1.opencheongwadae.kr/reservation

https://reserve1.opencheongwadae.kr/reservation
Just a reminder, please enter the number of people who will be going into the place, don't just fill in the number of reservations~~
Another way is to directly go to the entrance and register with the staff, holding your passport.
The Blue House allows only 2,000 people to enter every day. I visited there around 17:00 on that day, and at that time, the total number of people who had entered was about 1,400. If you're afraid of making a wasted trip, you can make a reservation online beforehand.

The Blue House is very big and there are many places to visit. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes because there are also a lot of slopes inside.
The stairs in the main building can be photographed, but it is not allowed to stand on the stairs to take pictures!!!

Next is the Presidential Residence, where the President lives, and it's also my favorite place in the entire Blue House. It's super beautiful inside~~

To complete the whole Blue House, it takes at least 1 to 2 hours. Because we entered too late, we didn't go to some places. Even when we entered the President's office, we were the last group to go in. Once we entered, it was no longer open for entry. So I suggest going earlier so that there is time to explore. I think the Blue House is worth visiting. I would like to visit again next time. It's a very special experience.
