Pet Cafes in Seoul

I would like to write about my experience in dog and cat cafe’s I have been to during my two trips to Seoul. These are the places I have found most memorable and cannot find any downsides of!
1. Winters Village (Hongdae)
This cafe left a long-lasting memory to me, as samoyeds are my favorite dog breed. Although called a pet cafe, I only paid the entrance fee of 14,000 KRW and the drink was not included, but available for purchase on-site.
The place has two floors with many samoyeds walking around! Guests usually walk around playing with them, petting them (all so friendly!) or watching them do tricks. Staff would feed them ice cubes which made them all gather and jump around. But as I sat on the floor, I’ve had one samoyed rest on my knee, so interactions while sitting were also possible :)
The dogs were also taught how to pose for a picture, therefore staff created a line and everyone could take one!
The organization was flawless, the whole experience was extremely enjoyable. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s very cold in there, so even with extremely high temperatures outside, I would definitely bring a sweater.

2. The Gwiyeowo Dog Cafe (Hongdae)
This cafe is located very close to the previous one. I have paid admission fee of 10,000 KRW which did not include drinks, but they have an option of admission fee + drink that is additional 2000-3000 KRW.
I took my favorite picture from the entire trip in that cafe. All the dogs were taught how to pose for a picture, so they would line up perfectly, and everyone had a chance to pose with them.
The dogs were playful, mainly interested in the treats, but one of the dogs spent some time with me even when I ran out of them :) The breed variety was great, the huge puddles were something I have never seen before.
Atmosphere in the cafe was peaceful, I have mostly seen couples there. Also, it is a small place, which makes it extra cozy.

3. Roof Cat Cafe (Hongdae/Myeongdong)
As for the cat cafes, I have visited around two besides Roof Cat, but I feel like this one stands out so much with how great it is, that I should focus on recommending it - and its the only one that truly lasted in my memory.
It has two locations, but I mostly recommend Myeongdong one, simply because its newer and bigger - I have been there for its opening!
The cafe’s design is magnificent, at the entrance there is a gift shop with adorable goodies. The staff has always been very kind to me explaining all the rules. Even the lockers room is adorable - lockers have cute handles and the slippers are pink and cat shaped!
Inside the cafe there is a room for beverages with a big machine, there are various types of coffee or peach ice tea - very, very delicious and unlimited!
The cats are particularly interested in treats (obviously) so I would only give them a little bit, so that it lasts longer and I can interact with every cat. They’re extremely friendly. It is very healing to the heart to watch them play, have them come to you or pet them while they sleep. The three hours limit is never enough to me so I just keep coming back.

To sum up, with variety of pet cafes to choose from in Seoul, I feel like these are particularly worth paying a visit. They are my absolute favorites and I cannot wait to go back. The pets are well taken care of in every place I have named, and ready to provide with an unforgettable experience!
