Color of You-Color+Style Analysis

I went to Color of You Color and Style Analysis located right in the heart of Hongdae, Seoul. The location was on the third floor but really easy to find. Both Google Maps and Naver Maps populated the location by typing in "Color of You". I recommend using Naver Maps to get around when you're here though, the walking directions are really clear and easy to follow. I had made an appointment but my friend tagged along with me and decided she wanted to do a color analysis too and they were super accommodating and fit her in as well!
They provided an English translator and the CEO Lala did our Color and Style Analysis. The English translator's english was flawless so everything was super easy to follow and understand. The Analysis started with a quick questionnaire about favorite and least favorite colors and styles and then moved into a short presentation on what color theory was. We talked about warm and cool tones, the different seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) and how each season was further broken down (mute, vivid, deep). My friend went first and I sat behind her while Lala layed different colored drapes of cloth below her face. I was so shocked how clearly you could see the difference the different colors made in the redness and shadows of her face. She also went over which dark and light neutral colors looked best and jewelry! She went over the worst colors too.
Afterwards, she marked everything down on a little report card that we got to take home and let us try some different lip products that did and didnt suit us. She sent us PDFs with recommended makeup and perfumes as well! My friend was a Deep Autumn, a warm tone and I was a Vivid Winter, a cool tone, so our color palettes were almost completely opposite! It also included hair color that would suit you which lead me to book a hair appointment to dye my hair later that week!
I stayed for the Style Analysis and my friend had to leave for an appointment. The Style Analysis had to do with your skeletal structure and body shape, where you carry weight etc. I was mostly in the wave body type category. She went over the silhouettes in pants, shirts, dresses that suited me. Also necklines and the best type and length for necklaces and earrings. It was really informative, I found out that a lot of the clothes I typically wear dont really suit me and other options might be better. It also included hairstyles and lengths that would suit you and type of bags. It was really thorough and informative and I think it will really help me elevate my style and inform my shopping in the future.
Lala and her staff were so kind and really fun. We had a really good time during the whole appointment. Even with the language barriers we still laughed and joked together and it was a really positive experience. My luggage had also been delayed so I wasn't able to bring my own makeup to the appointment and she said I could DM her on Instagram and send her photos of my makeup for her to review once it had arrived.
Lala let me know they also have makeup classes and perfume creation sessions available so I'll be sure to check those out next time I come to Korea!
I'd really recommend Color of You to anyone coming to Seoul and looking to get their Color Analysis done. I had always wanted to do this and it was even better than I imagined. I really recommend the Style Analysis too, I didnt even know that was an option until I saw it listed here on Creatrip but it was so informative.
Please check it out if you come to Seoul, you wont regret it!
