Efficient and Inexpensive Skin Care Treatment

I booked a last minute appointment on a Saturday for myself and my husband to get Creatrip’s “[First Visit Special] Abijou Skincare Experience” within the next 2 hours and the clinic speedily accepted my reservation. I chose the Aqua Peel and Modelling Facial option and was initially skeptical at the low price point of $7.51USD but since my deposit was only $3 for 2 people, I decided to give it a chance.
When we arrived, we were asked for our names and told to take a seat. Shortly after, English speaking staff came by to have us fill out some forms and asked us what treatments we were getting.
Then we were taken to wait again, and there was a robot to mix free drinks, although the line was quite long as it was a Saturday and very busy. Then staff came to take us to the lockers to store our personal belongings and change into their robe and slippers.
We were seated again before another staff member took us to wash and cleanse our faces.
After waiting again, the staff then took us for a facial consultation. There was a machine to take pictures of your skin as well as a moisture wand to check moisture contents. It generated a 14 page report detailing your skin age, skin type, pores, wrinkles, hidden wrinkles, pigmentation, melanin, red, brown, sebum, porphyrin, skin tone, and radiance. Please ensure you ask for this report, it is not given automatically, only upon request.
We were surprised that the results of the skin analysis were not used to recommend additional products or treatments for us to purchase. No one discussed the results with us either, we only know about them because I requested the report after the treatment concluded. Instead, we were taken to pay for our treatments which amounted to 17,000 won paid on site plus $3 USD deposit through Creatrip for two person’s Aqua Peel and Modelling Mask.
Then we were led to the treatment room with multiple beds in a factory clinic setting. The technician first started off with the Aqua Peel where they used a wand with water suction on your face. Then they moved on to put a sheet mask on your face with a modelling mask covering your entire face (including eyes and lips) but excluding the nostrils. After the modelling mask was done, they put on some serums and sunscreen for you and the treatment was finished.
Then we were led back to the locker room to retrieve our personal belongings. Overall the treatment was great value for your dollar and Creatrip made it so easy to book and communicate. The clinic had a very impressive amount of staff that spoke countless languages so we had no trouble communicating as foreigners speaking English. The staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly the one that helped us download our skin analysis at the end of our treatment. However, there was a lot of waiting in between every step and it did feel very factory style with no personalization. Even though we had a skin analysis, no one seemed to look at it or discuss the results with us. There was no upselling although this may have been because the clinic was extremely busy with a waitlist of 40 walk in clients on the day of our treatment so perhaps they could not fit it in. They also didn’t give a space or opportunity for anyone to reapply makeup since you do wash off all your makeup prior to the treatment. Overall, I would recommend this if you do not mind the factory style factory clinic for a very low price.
