My First Language School Experience Sharing

LEE YUYING
This is my fourth time in Korea, and also my first time attending a language school in Korea,
Why do you want to come? In Taiwan, there are Korean proficiency tests, but I am stuck at level 2, unable to overcome the writing barrier.
I have always wanted to experience studying abroad. Although I am already over 30 years old, most people would probably be deterred. It is even more difficult for those with families and children to take the first step, but I still decided to quit my job to pursue my dream and to take a break to recharge before moving forward again.
Because the application process felt very complicated, we asked Creatrip to handle it.
Although the notarization process took some time, the application was still successful, even though I did not get a dormitory in the end.
This time, I chose the University of Seoul because of its very affordable tuition fees,
Furthermore, the reputation of the faculty is very good, and I haven't regretted my decision since coming here.
The school is near Hoei Station, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the subway station to the school. The campus is very large and also very beautiful, perfect for walking. I also saw snow here for the first time in March.

Although I didn't take the test or exam, I originally planned to build a good foundation starting with basic pronunciation, so I started reading from level 1.

The spring term is just the season when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom; sharing photos outside the classroom building.
There will be two teachers taking turns teaching, and the class progresses quite quickly. You can finish the A and B textbooks in just three months.
There are quite a lot of Taiwanese in our class, 5 in total. Then there are 3 Mongolians, 2 Japanese, 2 Vietnamese, and 1 Chinese classmate.
Every day in class, there are many opportunities for speaking, listening, and writing. Handwriting Korean is definitely the most difficult part, followed by grammar.
It's a bit stressful because there is a quiz right after the class.
Moreover, every day, every week until the midterm and final exams,
Even up to the presentation, it's a packed schedule.
My classmate is taking the Level 1 course for the second time.
It's really necessary to push yourself to study, but if you just want to slack off, life might be a bit tough

Each semester there are 2 cultural experience courses, divided into half-day and full-day sessions,
The morning involves going to see the graffiti show and Gyeonghuigung Palace. I am looking forward to the whole day's plan.

Study hard in class, and of course, make use of the weekends to have fun
There are a lot of attractions to visit in Seoul, and of course even more places for shopping,
I went to experience the karaoke room and Wang Yuan Market, Yeongdeungpo, Myeongdong, and Hannam-dong, Seongsu-dong, and I still haven't finished exploring them.
As for the food part, if you're alone in Korea, there are quite a few foods that are not very suitable to eat, such as barbecue and hot pot. However, campus food is a good choice, but there are indeed many students during meal times. Prices range from ₩2500-₩13000. I personally often eat convenience store food, as Korean convenience stores are everywhere, whether it's rice rolls, lunchboxes, or sandwiches, you won't easily step on a landmine.

South Korea is also filled with coffee shops, with prices ranging from high to low. However, if you plan to come to South Korea without limiting yourself, it is recommended to have some funds. For example, a basic meal generally costs around ₩10000. There are more choices available if you have this budget. If you don't get a dormitory, you will need to budget carefully.

If you are considering which language school to attend, I highly recommend the University of Seoul. No matter how old you are, be brave and take the first step. Even if you just want to learn a language or experience life abroad, it is an excellent choice.
