The location is a 5–10 minute walk next to Gyeongbokgung, Subway: Exit 3 of Gyeongbokgung Station, walk straight and you'll arrive!
When I first visited Korea in October 2024, I tried on a Hanbok at this shop. The storefront is easy to find, you can reach it by walking straight from Gyeongbokgung Station. One thing to note, if you booked the first time slot you have to wait until opening time to go in ☺️
The shop manager is a man who can speak Korean and Japanese, very attentive 👍 The staff (female) are also super cute 🥰
The first time I came here I brought my mom, my aunt, and my friend, they don’t speak Korean but they still had a great time, because everyone in the shop was professional and very thoughtful 🥰
My mom didn't want to try at first because she was worried her larger body size would make it hard to enjoy the local Hanbok experience, but luckily the shop manager handled the issue professionally and made sure my mom could have a wonderful memory on this trip 😊
This time I came back to ARI with another friend. We left later and hit weekday work hours, so we were 30 minutes late and very sorry, but the shop manager still welcomed us warmly and even let us take our time choosing 🥹
Because my friend speaks Japanese, communicating with the shop manager was totally no problem at all 👍
Later I told the shop manager I had visited last year, and from my description the shop manager immediately remembered me 😍, their memory is amazing 😂. They were very thankful we returned and even gave us a paid hair accessory 😳 (the shop manager is really so kind and lovely 🫶🏻)
Wearing a Hanbok for my first time in Korea and visiting the famous Gyeongbokgung (it was actually my second time in Korea 🇰🇷) — I had such a happy, joyful day ❤️
On the way back, I bought some snacks to give to the shop manager (though he might already be tired of them 🤣), thank you for his thoughtfulness and thank you for his professionalism ☺️
