Beautiful place with various hiking trails (for all levels), very peaceful recreational area. Ik the beginning is a big parking lot with lots of convenience stores and restaurants. Later it is good to have enough water and good shoes along the way (depending on the trail). There are also some traditional temples, water basins (swimming is not allowed though), caves and different peaks to explore. Worth a visit and a must see in the region

One of the best national parks to visit. Totally worth visit. Free enterence to park, buses every 15 mins to and from Sokcho. Offer various range of treks and walks from just one hour walk to few days trekking. The most scenic views are available from Fortes Hill (tip - take cable car, trek is narrow and in forest, best views are from the top / extra time invest in other few hours walks). Spring is a good idea to go - mountains are green. Take water and food with you. At cable car station is an cafe and snack store.

Worth a trip if you’re visiting Korea. Only a 2.5h bus ride to Sokcho, then a short bus ride to Seoraksan. Visited in the morning on a cold, winter day while it was snowing and there was nobody else on our trail. Walking through the tranquil, snow-covered forest was an incredible experience! Do wear proper shoes especially in the winter.

Multiple hiking trails, restaurants or shops. The park is clear and some people even do the hick to clean and rubbish left. Restaurants are over priced but as expected for a tourist place. Parking cost 6,000 won up front that is also a bit expensive. The hick trails are maintained and the infrastructure to support the trail is well made. Overall a place to go but it's going to be over priced so be prepared.

We first hiked up the Ulsan Bawi rock. When we were back down we also went with the sky cable car up the hill. We took one of the last cars that day and didn't really have time to explore the area up there and if you don't have time for that, it's absolutely not word the cable car ride I'd say. The views are not so nice up there, you only have viewpoints at one side of the cable car station. Maybe if you have time to hike around, you'll get rewarded with better views :). The hike to Ulsan Bawi was though, especially the last part. So many stairs, terrible. The views up there are nice though! We stayed in Sokcho btw and took bus 7 or 7-1 from town to the entrance of the park. Cheap and convenient. There was no entrance fee when we visited the park (May 2024).
