I had a pleasant stay at Red Lighthouse Guesthouse! I think it's one of my best stay over my 2 weeks in Korea as the room has everything you need e.g., tv, heated & comfortable bed. The host couple is very nice and friendly and the location of the hostel is just opposite the intercity bus terminal

I highly recommend staying at the guesthouse! It is charmingly decorated, comfortable, and situated very conveniently. It is right across the street from the intercity bus terminal, as well as being a 10-15 minute walk from just about anything you would want to do or see in Sokcho: near the pavilion, a beautiful lake, the beach, the traditional market, and more... Although there are plentiful tasty restaurants, coffee shops, and gelato places nearby, I cannot speak highly enough about the free breakfast served at the guesthouse! Really delicious, fresh, and filling. Also, the common area was very nice. I loved my stay here and can't wait to visit again!

Excellent, friendly and kind service. A place where you can witness in every corner the owners’ (managers’?) devotion to pleasing their customers. Cute displays of fresh plants and flowers abound as do little adornments adding to the charm of the place. The breakfast was simple but carefully prepared and attractively served…and cheerfully served before breakfast hours when the lady in charge observed that we were up early. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, though I’m not a fan of heated blankets. (Many people might be thankful to have them, however.) Overall a very pleasant experience. We chose a room with a queen bed though the owner kindly informed us that the room with twin beds might be more comfortable next time. If in the area again and needing something near this location I’d definitely consider staying here again.

The room was clean and quirky in a good way. Location is very good. It was walking distance to touristy spots and the famous fish market. There is a bus station right across with access to Soerak-san National park. We stayed for 2 days and were originally plan to do the hike but it was hailing, so we decided to explore the area instead. The lady stationing the house was very helpful and resourceful. We asked for places to explore and seafood restaurant recommendations. We ended up having the best seafood stew ever! Thanks for having us, you are a 5 star and will def come back if there’s a chance 👋

Excellent and very friendly service! They were so nice! The rooms are great (especially the rain shower). Breakfast in the morning was excellent!
The location is good- for me, I liked the convenience of the bus terminal nearby which could take me to the park. The beach is not close but reachable by bus or taxi, and the maim strip of resturants and bars on this side of the bridge as well as the Fish Market is a 10-15 minute wall away. If trying to reach the the resturants/bars closer to the Expo and the beaches, those are further away. Overall, recommend the Red Lighthouse!
