You live in Chiang Mai for a month, right??
Perfect for 3 days!
It was nice to zone out, which is popular these days.
The view is crazy
The accommodation is ‘Yokji Villa’.
I'm from Tongyeong, so I went there a couple of times when I was younger for fishing and hiking, and it changed a lot.
It's nice to have a Santa Claus in conjunction with the suspension bridge. The concept of the island was sweet potatoes, but mackerel was added~
Mackerel sashimi was delicious without being fishy.
Recommended if you are looking for a quiet and secluded place.

It takes about an hour by boat from Tongyeong Port and is dropped off at Yokji Port.
It is the largest island among the islands in the Tongyeong area and has the largest number of residents.
I think it is a tourist destination well connected to the island.
If you drive around the island along the road,
Fishing, things to see, and food are plentiful, and the road around the island is fully open, so the entire area has a well-organized and clean image. It is a densely populated village with a downtown area formed around the dock. It has been around since the 1910s.
During the Japanese colonial period, mackerel fishing was popular, and many fishing boats and fishermen flocked to Yokji Port, centering around Jwaburangae Village, where a modernized Pasi market was formed. Now, it has become a tourist attraction as the birthplace of a modernized fishing village, and you can also see the historical and social background of the old Yokjido.
If you are looking for a one-night stay, you may feel disappointed.
Hiking, fishing, sea scuba, island camping, all available,
There are many islands nearby, including Yeonhwado, Udo, and Dumido.
Staying for a few days in Yokjido with the last sunrise of 2022/New Year’s sunrise of 2023

There are many things to see and eat, including strangely shaped rocks harmonized with the wonderful emerald sea, three suspension bridges, trekking to the highest peak of 392 meters, Cheonwangbong Peak, great views, and raw mackerel and turtle hands near Yokji Port. It is an hour away from Samdeok Port and is open 7 times a day. There is a round-trip boat, and we recommend that you make a reservation online in advance and bring your car. You must bring your ID. The round-trip fare is 15,200 won for adults and 44,000 won for private vehicles.

Next to Cheonwangbong Peak on Mt. Cheonwangsan, there is a 2-3 hour hiking trail from Yokji Port to Daegibong Peak (top of Yokjido Monorail) through Taegoam Entrance. The summit of Daegibong has a good sunrise view and Cheonwangbong Peak has a beautiful sunset. In general, sunrise and sunset seen from the beach are common, but Cheonwangbong and Daegibong peaks are seen from the mountains. Moreover, the view from the mountains on the island is one of the best views of sunrise and sunset. Nearby Yakgwabong is a 40-minute hike from Taegoam and a 20-30 minute hike down to Nongol. From the top of Yakgwabong Peak, you can see Yokji Port, Yokjido town, and surrounding islands. You can stay 1 to 2 nights at Yokjido Ocean Village, located near Cheonwangsan Mountain, and eat fresh spicy fish stew through stone-grilled barbecue or fishing in the fresh air, creating special memories for your family or loved ones. Short hikes for sunset and sunrise views are healthy. It is also beneficial and will be a travel course that allows you to tour both the outside and inside of Yokjido Island.

To take the village bus, get off the boat and look to the right toward the island. There is a village bus stop.
It seems that there is a rotation between the round-trip bus and the mid-way bus, so check carefully before boarding.
The driver will tell you that it is a round bus.
The bus fare is 1,000 won in cash!
